Or to put it in a philosophical way.

If there is no one around to intercept the pass. Has the pass then been attempted?

Because no-one seems to have enough headaches, let me offer you an old puzzle:

There is thrower A, who has Diving Tackle. There is passblocker B, who has Pass Block. Thrower A declares he will pass the ball while standing next to B. Now B declares to use Pass Block and leaves a tacklezone of A in order to get to an interception position. Thrower A decides to use Diving Tackle.

1. If B manages the dodge with a reroll, will he continue to move and when can he stop?
2. Will there be an interception?
3. Will there be a pass roll? If so, what modifiers of thrower skills and abilities would be used?
4. Where will the ball end?
5. Will there be a turn-over?

Uuni, you have a strange definition of "old".

Edit:: To answer the question: Thrower uses DT, ends up on ground, drops ball there. Pass Block turn ends, as no pass is being attempted anymore. Would it be a turnover? I believe so, but not confident.....

Mac is right. It would also be a turnover (p7, 1st dotpoint on turnovers). The turnover causes the Action to end immediately, even though it's only been partially completed.
Difficult: The Pass Block move could then stop immediately, as there is no legal destination anymore, or be finished as the player is not allowed to stop in between before reaching the final destination. I'm not decided on that one.
The ball will scatter from the now prone thrower A.

The thing becomes more funny if you take shadowing instead of diving tackle. The interceptor would drag the passer towards the catcher. Very Happy

You can only shadow a player who is taking an Action, and as Pass Block is not an Action (but Pass is), you can't shadow the pass blocker...
unfortunately Smile.

Ah, that's sad. Should have known that - but the thought was too appealing. Very Happy

And then we wonder why pass block isn't in yet Smile

Just reread the rules, it was late yesterday: The player may not stop until he has reached a legal destination. When there is no legal destination, then the "may not move unless he can reach a legal destination" kicks in and ends the pass block, IMHO.
