The Tilea Tunnel Runners have won the league's inaugural match 1-0 and just managed to escape without serious injury. The big play of the game happened when the ball-carrying Chaos Warrior got surfed; Nertz had gotten open, and the ball was thrown right into his waiting hands! Sadly he couldn't quite bring in the second TD before time ran out. |

The TTRs just won their second game, a s-1 Nuffle'd affair that probably should've been 4-0 or 5-0. Gutter Runner purchased and 3 skills gained - 3 sets of doubles, for +MA, dodge, and guard. |

time for an update
game 1 - Depreciation vs Be Lethal Or Cromm Kills
in my opinion luck was severely in my opponents favour but i had only jus got out of bed so probably was all jus bad play by me. opponent played well and beat me, however in the process he lost a black orc blocker and i gained a rotter, not too bad overall.
game 2 - Depreciation vs No Block No Brains
possibly my luck evening out a little here, i think so as i did make a few mistakes. however i held on and pulled out a win but at the cost of a beastman dying on a skull roll. also once again in the few matches spectators have watched me play, they have been rooting for my opponent, but well he deserved it, good player and good game.
looking forward to game 3 in the NBL |

new update
game 3 - Depreciation vs Reasons I Dumped My Girlfriend
game started well for me, i managed to hold the ball and push forwards steadily, unfortunately the ball was dropped repeatedly due to strip ball, however i still managed to pull off an amazing score on turn seven, i had decided i didnt want to risk my player being stunned or worse and not having anyone else close enough in turn 8, so passed it to another player in the end zone, i really expected more of an interception but i got lucky. the second half it was my turn to kick and my opponent made the most of it scoring easily in two turns. this gave me the chance to slowly push again, slowly but surely it worked, although in the process my beast was not only killed but regenerated, i kept pushing and scored again for the final win. very good play by my opponent, but the luck didnt go his way.
game 4 - Depreciation vs Soaring Dragons
a game i felt i should have won, but i had to settle for the draw,i was happy with that though, we both played well. in the first half things started well for both teams, seeing a lot of blood on the pitch from multiple injuries and ko's. overall it just became a numbers game and on turn 8 i had a clear run, however the beastman needed to move 7 not 6 and falled on the gfi, being turn 8 i had no rerolls either so a missed opportunity. second half again i kicked and my opponent got the ball, ran and scored almost instantly. i now realised i wasnt going to win but had to play for the draw, fortunately i got a little luck to help me along, although again, for the second time in the same day the beast was killed, however this time there was no regeneration, but with some luck and some ko's we pushed forward and evened it out. 1-1 not too bad, again very good play by my opponent and i am now awaiting game 5 of the NBL |

Just a quickie - TTR posted a third win before buying a rat ogre and setting down back-to-back ties against High Elves. Damn slippery elves... |

The tournament is going great. The NBL'S 1st Vampire team has had equal parts success and failure, and have developed a pair of hard hitting blitzers to compliment a trio of dirty players. Now we only need fresh meat...err, new opponents! |

OMG! My Ogres are having a hell of a time. This last game vs PV's Vamps had the great brutes mightily stumped. At every conceivable moment these great hulks of mental ineptitude failed to do what was demanded by the coach. Maybe it was the pitch invasion on Turn 1 that stunned SIX of my nine players and befuddled one of two remaining ogres. Surprisingly, they regrouped from this fairly well. Then came the dimming of minds and lack of ambition. The winnings are shite to boot. 40K gets me a replacement gobbo if I don't want to be short manned again next game. Post-game my guard ogre niggles on the aging roll for his second skill. Only one other ogre has gotten a skill, and none of the gobs! I am ashamed of this team. |

another update
game 5 - Depreciation vs Royal Bloodlines
this game was kind of interesting as it didnt start too briliantly but the team made up for it by the end. the vamps luck seemed to start to change during this game but the coach still stands by his opinion that they are just destined for bad luck, it was quite a brutal game with many blood splatters. good game overall, great coach .
game 6 - Depreciation vs Quarentine Crew
definitely the hardest game for my team so far in this tournament, luck really wasnt with us for the first half of the game, but things improved and evened out. so much so i could have gfi to get the equaliser and tried for the win, but due to the bad luck from the first half i didnt trust my guy to not fall over. again great coach, fun to play.
on with the tournament |

Tremble before the might of the Halflings!
By showing an annoying will not to give up, the Deadly Pirates of Slaughter ensured their first victory. (that, and super luck, combined with the talents of our good cook).
We will win this! You just come see!
We can take on anybody! Where's The Pig Roast? |

Royal Bloodlines left the blood-soaked pitch with a demoralizing tie today. They remain at the top of the tournament for now, but with only a few low TR teams left for them to play in this tournament, another team may easily take the top spot!
Lots of mistakes against the halfling team Deadly Pirates of Slaughter, including not using my AG5 Vamp more aggressively for a touchdown at the end of the 2nd half. Whipping Boy received the ultimate punishment today after being bitten to death and left on the pitch to bleed dry. Instead the apothecary went to prevent our new kicker from missing his inaugural game. It's sad that his trees caused more CAS than my MB Vampires, but at least no one (important) on Royal Bloodlines was hurt. Considering that I only had 1 reroll each half, I should be happy with the tie game. |

Going into the game against the decimated Gorhak's Host team, I flet that this would be a sure win, (especially considering my "streak" of draws!). But the goatmen wouldn't stop hurting my poor poor little fellas, even to the point of killing! I mean... that's just so EVIL. Two of the most sturdy and steadfast of my crew, also. by the names of ........
Anyway. That evil man Craftnburn should think better than to decimate my forces.
Waaaaaaaaaa! |

game 7 - Depreciation vs Barney's Rubblemakers
a big loss for the rotters but they were very much outplayed, a very brutal game for both sides, incurring multiple deaths and serious injuries. first half we couldnt get anywhere near the ball after the opening few turns, and even when we thought we may stand a chance at pulling it back the skull pow rolls came through very clearly for the nbl. second half was less one sided with a few chances arising, but again due to multiple unexpected turnovers neither team could pull much out other than a lot of pain. very brutal but interesting match, great coach, with more luck in other games coulda won the tournament, but its not to be. overall good game and i look forward to playing again in second tourney. |
