This is a smack thread for Grudge League games. This thread is not meant for serious discussion about Season Two, neither for recruitment: this thread is for smack talk, scaring your opponents, having a good time and random fluffy bits.
Once Border Princes' tournament begins, the first headhunt vote for Season two will hopefully be held in this thread. |

Hey, all we need is one more team into the league and I'll make a 4 team Open Round Robin tournament -> your team gets to participate and play games! To make someone join quicker, do some smack talking in our favor. |

Cassie hasss showed the door to four of her friendsss, 'caussse they were ssso late for their matchesss. "Nigglersss other than me won't win usss any gamesss on season two", is what she stated in the pre-season press conference. Although Cassie's the all-time #1 Saurus passer in FUMBBL with 10cp, she's getting old. If something were to happen to Cassie, could the team still win any games? |

Forks and knives have been sharpened and war spoons have been dug up as brave halflings are marching towards Grudge League's second season.
Sappe has been teaching his crew a few of his "IRON CHEF" tricks during the break and is expecting some new dishes to be served in the restaurant during coming season.
So be prepared all you friends of gourmet dishes, Iron Chef's Dinner Servise is back in the kitchen! |

Well, I guess Ag 2 is an option, and an all-time best is something, but... wouldn't ANYthing else have been better?
I mean, Ag is nice, but... what exactly were you planning on doing with Ag 2 Saurus that your Gob- er, Skinks couldn't with Ag 3? Wouldn't you rather have taken... I dunno- Break Tackle? Mighty Blow? Shadow? ANYthing?
But, uh, grats on being the very best, with a whopping 10 completions. Most wouldn't even have tried- (and for good reason!) |

Remember, Skinks have Stunty. Therefore, Cassie is a better passer because she has the same odds in short/normal/long and she can attempt a long bomb unlike the skinks. Add to this the skink regular skill Diving Catch and the fact Cassie's a ST4 ball carier (as opposed to skink ST2) and you've got a decent player opening up many new possibilities for a Lizardmen team.
If everything goes well, Cassie does not need to pass. It's either a last resort (e.g. LB to Diving catch on turn 8) or some fun when the victory is certain (last turn spp collecting when game is 3-1 in my favor). 10 comps in 22 games isn't really that much: she's no Elf. However, she has become #1 at something without even really trying to..and being #1 at something is great...therefore she's praised as being a "passer". ^^ |

Caraz-a-Carak Distillers are as ready as ever for the first tournament!
Grunni, Brokk and Durak were sitting in a filthy alehouse somewhere in Averheim. They had been drinking for a long time now and even Durak was beginning to feel a bit drunk.
"Did ye 'ear w' Bardin say's 'tday?" asked Grunni.
"Ye mate, t'is 'bout 'em lazy bastards, finally got the show r'dy" replied Brokk.
"Aye aye, t'is in the Border Princes, in a few weeks." said Grunni.
"Bah! Ye don't even have any inns!" barked Durak.
"Nor any b'tiful wenches!" added Brokk.
"At least t's bloody greenskins to smash!!" shouted Durak.
After a day, the Distillers were on their way for their first tournament of the season, along with their axes and field distilling equipment. |

Cassie... Cassie, Cassi, Casualty...
No block - she's easy to knock down... AV 9 - that's only 7 with the right kind of tin-opener AKA Jack in the Box!
She is a great passer though... But as all throwers, you just need to put her down! |

A 6 always intercepts. Otherwise, she's unstoppable. |

Bah, Cassie might be good, but she's nowhere near as popular as Jack of Diamonds! He's averaging an MVP per 3 games! He even started going to children's birthday parties to increase team popularity and raise funds for a surgical removal of Jack the Ripper's knee-cap, getting it replaced with a spiked steel one instead! |

A decisive victory for the Wood Elf team, Guardians of Loren Forest! Great defense and a whole lot of unlucky skaven turns made this victory possible! A Perfect Defense at the perfect timing, a Blitz! just when it was most effective, several Skull/Pow turnovers from the Rats, leaving the Elves on the field, and the rats in the dugout made the second half an easy run.
Better luck to Soren72 in his future games!
And more of the same to Guardians of Loren Forest! |

Grudge Bits & Pieces - Season 1 Overview - Part 1
Disclaimer:
The Grudge League Season One records were burned quite badly due to an unfortunate incident involving fire, a few trolls and the editing office. Only a few records were all that was left and here they are.
Killed Star Players:
Sharpedge (Werewolf) [Moonlight Stalkers] - 67 SPPs - Killed in the L'Anguille High Tower Final in a blitz using a hidden set of knuckledusters to punch through the already weakened ribcage.
Korhedron (DE Blitzer) [Korhedron's Fanatics] - 55 SPPs - Killed in the L'Anguille Hight Tower Final when he was knocked prone while a rotten zombie stumbled and its foot smashed through the skull.
Other Memorable Kills:
Black Diamond (Minotaur) [Red Diamonds] - 41 SPPs - Head Hunt Target
Enlightenment (Wight) [Reclamation] - 41 SPPs - +MA, +MA
Huanli (Skink) [Fangs of Sotek] - 36 SPPs - +AG, Block

In addition to their regular menu, Iron Chef Sappe's Restaurant serves unique gourment dishes that use ingredients from the players who have met their doom on the pitch. The gourmet dishes are made for fans so that they could get in touch with their favourite or most hated players. The First season was a good one for the Restaurant, as fans, players and even coaches dropped by to eat and drink between the games,
Has the Restaurant anything new to offer during the second season? Here is what Sappe answered:
"We are trying to get some fresh meat on the menu, during the Border Princes' Survival we will hopefully get some ingredients for the following dishes. Fried skinklegs with sour & sweet sauce and rice, Ratpies baked on warpstone, maybe some tartar human steaks and smashed potatoes. Of course we would be happy to serve saurus consommé, made from Lissie. It would be a bit like tortoise soup, I've been thinking that it could be made from sauries as well, but only time will tell wether I get to try it or not."
You can visit Iron Chef Sappe's Restaurant which is located in the Mootland or try to catch the Iron Chef's Dinner Servise's transportable restaurant during the season.
Alive Record holders:
Passer: Djellark (Skaven Thrower) [Razor sharp rats] - 36 SPPs - 21 Cp (Healthy)
Scorer: Kalek Fleshchewer (Ghoul) [Moonlight Stalkers] - 55 SPPs - 14 TD (Healthy)
Interceptor: Gobrugda (Elf Catcher) [Clusta Noba Crusaders] - 36 SPPs - 2 It (-AV)
Basher: Shadowfang (Werewolf) [Moonlight Stalkers] - 84 SPPs - 32 CAS (-MA)
Star Player: Shadowfang (Werewolf) [Moonlight Stalkers] - 84 SPPs (-MA)
Did You know?
Grudge League was officially formed in the Imperial city of Altdorf, the capital of The Empire. It is also in Altdorf, where the most respectable tournament, The Great Grudge Bowl, is held each season. The league was originally formed to gather the best of the best Blood Bowl teams from the Old World under one big top league. However, The Emperor soon saw the potential of the league and now it has the best teams from all over the world. Traditions die hard though, all the tournaments are still held in the Old World. Loyal fans follow the teams all over the Old World, always looking forward to the next tournament to root for their favourites.
But, instead of being stuck in the Old World forever, Grudge League is now looking for opportunities to expand tournaments to other continents as well. Organizers are trying hard to arrange tournaments in the New World, Lustria, Araby and other continents.

I was going to do a bigger overview with some more fluff, but because of time constraints this will have to do for now, possibly a Part 2 soon. If anyone has any fluff to contribute for it, talk to me. Thanks goes for habeli for the Iron Chef fluff. |

Bah... there's only a few points left for the Jacks to get on that list! I'll get there by the end of season two! Muhahaha...! I hope...
It's kinda unfair that Soren72 has 2 teams in the top 10, though... Can't we ban him for being to good or something? |
