The upcoming Mass Effect got me thinking about how cool it would be to make a game out of the first Warhammer 40k edition, Rogue Trader. Where you as a freelancing trader/explorer got travel around the Warhammer universe with your squad of upgradable and replacable soldiers.
It could either be played out as Mass Effect (RPG) or it could be some kind of tactical strategy game à la Jagged Alliance, which unfortunately probably wouldn't sell that well. But what an amazing game that would be. I really like the first edition style, where everything was customizable and upgradable and not just about buying as many miniatures as possible. |
