I could have done that, but I would leave the door open for getting off topic
Just played my first game.
Faced off against tattie5 and his Goblins. Nuffle really took a dump on the greenskins and arguably cheated them the draw or maybe even a win! The Nurgle lack of tackle or block made it hard to get anywhere fast, loosing 2 warriors for most of the game hurt and alot of turn overs plagued both teams.
I have to admit I should have lost, a failed dodge on 8 of 1st half would have scored. And they were very close in the last 3 turns. Watch this team, they can take you out! |

Me and Jack got a draw with my gobbos v his wood elves.
He did exceptionally well in the second half to stop me scoring a 2nd TD, considering he only had 4 players on the pitch for half of it!

Under cover of darkness Bite them on the feaches opened their campaign with a daring beach-assault against the villainous and cowardly Pact a Punch. The brave brits landed the first blow and surged forward, establishing a beach-head from which to launch further attacks.
The second wave delved deeper into enemy territory and secured the objective with time to spare. A desperate counter-offensive was launched but Sir Winston Churchill made the ultimate sacrifice to ensure victory for the forces of good. Honourable mention also to Nobby who stood and fell in the face of danger, saving many lives. He will be sadly missed. |

Only 3 games left to play before round 2. Had some great match ups so far. Some teams are in worse shape than others, but it's still very early days and you never know whats coming next! |

I think this is the first time one of my teams has ever had a positive casualty score! |

Well that was a well earned draw from King in my game. Smashed his team to pieces with some great (and rather fortunate) rolls but he snuck in a 1st half TD...then it started to go downhill. What shoulda been a half of Amazon glory turned into a slog as I didn't recover the ball in the first turn and he pounced straight onto it...a painful 7 turns later I finally got the ball over his line after he held it in a tight corner of shoving each other around.
Well played game from King, earning a draw with like 6 players (and even less at one point), good luck with the rest of the tournament man

My first game ever using DElves and I somehow got away (fairly) intact seeing as I was playing Orcs, plus a draw is more than I could have expected! Looking forward to see who I come up against next!

Grim Up Norse 0 - 1 42 Commando RM
The surly "Norse-erners" of Grim Up Norse (and their coach) staggered out of their beds for an 11am Sunday kickoff with raging hangovers, cursing their foolish coach for scheduling such an early game. The only blessing was that the heavy rain which looked set to affect the game cleared up just as the game kicked off.
The lizards of the 42 Commando RM received first, and pushed upfield, knocking out hungover norsemen as they went. Stalling tactics near the end of the second half backfired when a failed block ruined their chance to score, leaving it a very fortunate 0-0 at halftime. Less fortunately, the KO'd norse decided they would rather stay in bed than come out for the second half. Quickly outnumbered, the groggy Norse-erners couldn't keep hold of the ball, and the lizards took full advantage, running it in at the end of the game to make it 0-1.
With no permanent injuries though, a goblin team up next, and drinking and debauchery the night before the game banned by the coach (and early kick-offs banned by the players), Grim Up Norse shouldn't be ruled out of the running quite yet! |
