Well across the ocean at the UI they are getting set. The invitations are being sent out and the teams are starting to arrive. Prep matches are under way and the draw will be on Wed.
So back to back Major action in the Ranked Div. GLORIOUS!!!
I will be setting sail for the UI tommorow ready for a new tournament. A new hotel and more Blood. |

Well I arrived at the UI last night on the "red eye" and man is my hotel nice. They set me up in the penthouse and I got a nice beach side view. Full stocked hotel bar in my room and ample space for 20+ quests. So I quess the late night parties will be at my place. Be sure to tip the maids though if you show up.
Well this morning I went over to the UI committe sending out the invitations to the tourney. Going over the docket of teams and so forth. Very respectable list I might add.
Although one team is not on the list: The Tiny Steel Hammers. It seems the committe has been in debate all day about the Hammers. It seems there are issues of mutated Dorfs and should they even be allowed onto the island. Of course some argue over in the Dark bracket no one seems to care about the CD's running around. So why should the Hammers be the exception. Something about elf sensabities and so forth. My inside guy says they will be invited and it is just the grey beard 1000 year old foggeys blowing smoke and making speaches of the good ole days.
Some of the hopefull bubble teams have arrived hoping for a inviation to fall off the table like scraps. They are getting prep matches in tyring to Buff their TV rep for the committe. But some of them are getting beat up and beat down in their attempt. Might as well just head home guys and leave the bruises and RIPS for the GLT.
Well Iam off to the qualifier venues to take a look around and maybe catch a prep match or two. Also I will wander on by the wanderlust pub and see if that sweet looking wench is still working there from last years tourney...oh the memories. |

I was just chastised by the UI committe that a tournamnet of the Ulthuan Invitational should not suffer having its prestigious name reduced to a abrreviation of the tournament name. Furthermore they stated that the use of the term, UI, should cease and desist. It needs to be Ulthuan Invitational at all times.
Dweebs, what ever. But I will change the prediction thread name to appease their elf sensabilitiles...need to pick your battles so to speak. |

Helena High set sails to add another Lantern to their collection.
They have just returned from winning a SMACK.
The Helena Warp Tides just had an disturbing article about the possibility that their coach BooAhl choose to easy match ups in their last two friendlies. Winning with a total of 11-2. Their new wanna be STAR grunner scored 7 TDs and got 30 spps in these 2 games. The Warp Tides go on stating that Helena High's self esteem will be too boosted and they will go out quitely in their first game.
The coach was cited saying "Our [HELENA HIGH] self esteem can never be too boosted, since we are the greatest team to ever have taken the field. In the last days before the draw I have hired a boost coach to boost our egos even further. The chock will be if we don't win with 4 or 5 TDs in our first game." |

I was down at the UI HQ double checking the team invites and it is looking good. It is not settled yet on the fields but I can say there is some real quality showing up for the tournament.
My gut is saying that the TV floor is going to be around 1850 TV. A lot of woodies and High Elves coming out of the wood work for this one. I would not be suprised if this year we only have 3 or 4 dwarf teams make the trip
On the Dark Side Iam thinking the TV floor will be around 1950 TV as the Dark Elves are streaming into the tournament. Dark side will be Dark Elf heavy and they are bumping that TV min up because of it. I think we are going to see two or three of the new style choas/nurlge SMACK pimped teams show up with their CLPOMB. |

Hope my Bears make the cut. At TV 1860 they should be on the bubble and I wont be able to play any more prep games or cash to buy a lino. |

The Agility Monsters (TV 1950k) have used their time staying away from the WO and especially the last few days to prepare themselves for the probably most promising major of the season. Proving their elfballing skills against elves, humans and the other "light" races seems much more fun than running in all those killers! (And of course the prizes would always be top-notch fitting for this team!) |

After their last training session the Gravelords start moving to the dark qualifier, their quterback Eldred eager to throw more TD passes and Gorax and Gyrax hoping to smash some ledgends. |

Altdorf Book and Casino Ulthuan Invitational Challenge
Blood Bowl fans love majors but what makes a major more fun is to have a side challenge for the fans.
Here is the Book and Casino Challenge for the UI.
After the draw is made you pick the winner of each qualifier bracket. You get a pont for each of the qualifiers that you have picked the winner.
Tie Breaker is determined by who ever posted their picks the earliest. Monday at 16:00 Server time is the deadline to have all your picks in.
Recap
You pick 1 team from each of the 16 brackets who you think will win that bracket.
Add up your score, 1 pt for each correct pick, you are responsible for keeping track of your own score, I got better things to do. Of course the easiest way to add up your score is when the qualifiers are done check your teams against who won on the tournament page and do the math from there. Just an idea. Tie is broken by who ever gets their picks in first.
YOU MUST PICK ALL 16 BRACKETS AT THE SAME TIME...Meaning ONE POST WITH ALL 16 of YOUR PICKS.
Got it?
Now the winner gets.... 10 Offical FUMBBL Brownie Points, 2 Pie's from the local bakery of your choice and Bragging rights that you are the master of picking brackets.

Blood Sea Buccaneers arrived this weekend. Got their prep matches in and are set to make a run. The team is looking good and we got a good vibe going on right now.
Although we did take a serious blow on the team in our last prep match as T "Stiff Arm" Barber was KILLED on a glorious T16 foul. He was our Elf killer elite blitzer. That might hurt and hurt bad once the tourney starts. Any elf who wishes to give thanks for that glorious T16 Foul kill needs to PM coach nexusvalhees to express their gratitude. |

I fully support this move an applaud your guts to bring out your converted Ogre team. But I think the balance of winning and losing might just hang on the stunted legs of your ST1 AV4 snotling. |
