These leagues are mostly about metagaming. There are plenty of leagues using the standard rules. Check the groups page or join the FUMBBL chat to find out if there is a national league for you or some other league that suits your needs.
Beware though, that league admints may be a bit reluctant to accept new players without references.
If you are new not only to FUMBBL but also to Blood Bowl, i suggest you join the 145 club as stated earlier. |

Playing the game with their own different sets of rules and goals, effectively being a different game.
In those examples, the first league punishes blocking and encourages scoring, and the second direclty plays with 7 players instead of 11. |

I think you should join the main group better. Read the group rules and contact the group admin if you have more questions.
Just use the site PM system to contact him directly, or look for him in the chat rooms. |

With 145 club, you join the main group with any league team, and Koadah pms you when new competitions start, that you can play with any league team providing they fit the tourney criteria. |

also what timezone are you in there a plenty of timezone specific leagues that are nice, so you dont have to try and match peoples time schedules |

This is actually fairly important. More for your own peace of mind than anyone elses. However, most leagues who try to restrict entry to players who can play during whatever hours they specify clearly state that somewhere on the leagues main page. |
