I have a dark el lino, who just earned his 3rd level up. He assumed line duty, so took wrestle, and then side step. The 3rd roll is a normal skill.
The team he plays for is just above 2000 TV.
He may take dodge, but I am not sure about its usefulness on line duty. I expect all opposing team having enough tackle on the LOS. Would you take dodge anyway, or would you take fend for additional protection, or something else?
In isolation Dodge would be the most powerful skill, but the principal role of the player may dictate otherwise. Interested to hear your insight. |

Wrestle-sidestep-fend is interesting, he can screen of tacklers(and take LoS blocks) while your other elfs dodge around, try it out |

It's a pretty powerful combination, especially when you fear Dodge will be canceled against him quite often. Side Step + Fend is great! |

Dodge, he won't be spending the entire game on the LoS and not all teams have 3 LoS Tackles. |

I actually done both dodge and fend in different teams. I´d say fend if you can have 3 of them, but most often dodge. It obviously boils down to who the opponents are. |

LOS elfs shouldn't skill
else they shouldn't be LOS elfs anymore
(dodge, obviously, how is this even a question?) |

well the intention of CRP design was to give LoS players Fend and wrestle so Galak keeps telling us.
But yeah, dodge is still clearly the way to go. |

Choosing a skill for the turns a player is on the LoS, possibly only one of 16 turns, seems slightly odd to me. Choosing skills that will be useful there, and that will help to make sure the player sticks around for longer than that one turn, fine; but purely on that basis? Not so much.
As such; Dodge will help on the LoS against anyone without Tackle. It will also be much more useful for the other 15 turns of the game, particularly on an AG4 player. Take Dodge. |

Wrend sidestep sounds like a useful fella to have. I agree with Overhamsteren. Could be useful when you go on a Dwarf/Cwarf challenging adventure. |

Dodge. Spread that Tackle around, keep it from hitting the best players. Fend at 51 should he live that long. |
