To make it easy, let's say the 2013 GenCon rules for team building and additional skills are used.
What format should such a division take? I imagine a facilitator to monitor tournaments would be required, so Swiss tourneys that kick off every Wednesday like Smacks & Brawls OR do it like Royal Rookie Rumbles where the tourney begins whenever a critical mass is reached? Would there be any reason not to have open play between tournaments or should non-tourney play follow another format?
What shape would the meta game take? What would be the builds to beat and the builds that everyone complained about? |

These will be possible when christer has finished the league changes he is working on. For now we still have the rookie royal rumble though to tie us over  |

As for the best teams, I would say in this rough order -
Undead, orc, wood elf, dwarf, skaven, norse, lame ass zons,Top tier.
All other elves, humans , lizards, chaos dwarf probably a couple of races I have forgotten.
Then chaos teams, stunties , vamps and slaan.
Finally ogres and underworld. |

As there's a tabletop scene with rankings, there's no need to guess.
Not sure how to get rankings per race, rather than the race used by the individual top coaches though. |

Only if you can cpomb them up . In this type of tournament it's not possible. Personally I think they are terrible. I would fancy my chance more with flings I think. |

DE/CD are a top tier too. |

I'd probably play this a bit, but I can't see it becoming something I'd play regularly. I think it'd be great for tournaments & rankings. |
