If you bring 2 star players how many mercenaries can you bring?
Of course I am mostly interested in how it is in the client.  |

You can bring as many mercenaries as you have spaces on your roster for, including the stars. i.e. with 11 players & 2 stars you could bring a maximum of 3 mercs for the total maximum of 16 players.
The exception in the client is that MNG players count towards the limit of that player type, and (I believe) towards the total number of players when hiring mercs, but not when hiring stars. i.e with a 15 player roster with 5 MNGs and one journeyman, you could hire two stars, but only one merc (again, I believe that's how the client handles it, I may be misremembering). And if it was, say, an Undead team with both Wights MNG, your merc couldn't be a Wight. |

Yeah I seem to remember not being allowed to hire an ogre once when I had a MNG ogre. |
