...but conveniently, it came from Australian GW stores. i.e. the ones that are closed the longest from when the rumour appeared, delaying the inevitable debunk for as long as possible? |

Dunno what that means tbh. My immediate reaction was that it was probably very very old. However clearly it isn't.
I can't see GW relaunching BB unless it can get the 3rd party figure problem under control. That I guess would mean making the NAF only support GW figures, which it wouldn't do.
Maybe they'll invent a few new star players and release the figures quick to make a fast buck....maybe. If they try going head to head with the 3rd parties...that'll be a disaster. |

This is great! We might just see a completely-un-thoughout rules change that will break more than it tries to fix! |

I'd love this to be true. Best Christmas ever! Might tempt me to break out the old Necromunda!

IMO for a long time GW has had their business model totally wrong. Maybe they think the BB IP is popular enough to boost sales of the main game? Maybe they can release a new boxed set with an 'official' rulebook? I don't think GWs future is in figure making. Maybe they'll return to the old citadel/marauder model of supporting 3rd party manufacturers? Maybe, going the opposite direction, they're releasing the main game to boost the value of the IP for future computer games sales?
How long does Cyanide/Focus have the BB contract for? |

Did they really spell Epic Armageddon wrong? |

Ahhhh yeah, suggests it is actually fake. |

Maybe. But the source did only say it was an in-store poster made by a staff member so spelling mistakes wouldn't be unreasonable.
I'm not optimistic, but for the sake of excitement for today I'm going to choose to believe until proven otherwise |

Marauder and Citadel were never 3rd party. Nor the other ranges like Iron Claw. Citadel was founded by the GW CEO (not at the time he founded it though Bryan Ansell). He then left GW and sold Citadel to GW, starting up Wargames Foundry. Marauder were kind of portrayed as a 3rd party figure range for a bit, but they weren't. The sculptors for Marauder were based at Foundry, due to a conflict in personalities, however it was all GW. When that was sorted and more room made they were moved back to GW. |

Haha. I'll take your word for it. I'm too young and beautiful to know the GW politics of that era. I just remember the White Dwarfs with Yellow pages for Citadel and Blue for Marauder |

Yup, that was when they portrayed Marauder as kind of 3rd party. I'm a Marauder fanboy!
I remember a phone call ordering figures on my Mum's credit card went something like
".......and the rest of my order is Marauder so I'll phone them"
"You might as well give me the order as it'll be me putting it together"
"Oh do you do the Marauder figures now?"
"We've always done them."
On topic the more I look at it the more I think it's fake or not officially supported. |
