hi all,
still very much in the design phase, but THIS is the current and stage I am at.
Any constructive criticism would be appreciated.
things to note:
-teams would only be entered AS they are FILLED, so if a team doesn't have 3 coaches it can't enter.
-coaches MAY be allowed to join another state, if they have ties to it (lived/worked/born) etc
!!IF POSSIBLE!!
if anyone here would like to lend a hand designing the State Team pitch layouts, that'd be killer. I can do some basoc stuff but not a lot really...
anyone with a bit more ability would be welcomed to help out. (Please help me Balle, Karnov and Polemarch)
Also need an idea for the actual trophy too

To have a team in contention, you need to have an active team in thr SWL Fringe with a calculated SWL Fringe Rep.
The top 3 ACTIVE fringe teams based uppn SWL fringe rep will be the representatives for their state team. (Max 1 team per coach)

This bit I disagree with. coaches should be able to take whatever fringe team they want. A high rep destroyed team shouldn't be mandatory.
sure, if you have 4 keen coaches to fill 3 slots then that could be a way to settle things. otherwise - freedom is good.
So, aiming for an 8 "state" team KO? How are individuals matched up? |

Ramchop, the SWL fring rep is used to decide the coaches, it's up to them to decide which of their SWL fringe teams to use.
The draw will be based upon matches, each being a best of 3 knock out.
Aka 2wins and you're in.
A fully drawn match will result in a tiebreaker game between 1 coach from each state team (that haven't poayed each other yet)
So for example, assuming NT/WA join as expected (not the final draw)
NsW vs QlD > Qualifier 1
Vic vs Tas > Qualifier 2
SA vs WA+NT > Qualifier 3
Nz vs ACT > Qualifier 4
The teams with winning record would then be seeded against each other in:
Qual 1 vs Qual 4 > Final 1
Qual 2 vs Qual 3 > Final 2
Then the championship match would be
Final 1 vs Final 2 |

yep got all that. but within the example NZ v ACT match there are three fixtures. How are these matchups decided? |

I think it may be an issue for those of us who joined SWL as the fringe scene died off. There are hardly any games that go on so, for instance, my fringe rep would be miniscule. This would lead to a situation where I would wonder if there is any point applying as I won't get a guernsey.
I guess I could always claim Hobart though having lived there for 2.5 years... |

Poods I think you'd be surprised at the Rep you'd have in some teams, Blooder teams in particular can gain quite an amount.... |

Ok, if I am in, I will come with team called Dark Moon Risin'...
It's a new team that I just applied to SWL.
I will try to get some fringe games in with it.
Now, stupid question, but since I havent played single "fringe" game, how do I do that?
