If you were the coach? Obviously the correct answer if he was on the other team is to kill it with fire, but if he was yours? Your own? Your precious? This is a TT team I have and those were his first two skills, the next normal has to be block. But does his progress then as a MA10 have to be a OTS piece? 'Have' is perhaps not the correct word, but is that what 95% of coaches would do?
The rest of my team looks like this:
RO with Jug
Blitz +MA
Blitz Claw
GR Wrestle
GR Block
GR Block, (plus another skill that is a double, input appreciated)
4 Linos, one with DP
Thanks! |

He is a one-turner without going whole-hog that direction. Instead I would go with Block then Sidestep. Sidestep helps with 1 turning, but also good for positional play. Nothing wrong with then going for sure hands for example as you main ballcarrier - but too hard to predict future. I think Block + Sidestep is next two skills that give him the most overall benefit to the team.
As for the other GR - Horns is better on a wrestle/tackle/strip gutter runner, not as useful on the block GRs. I would probably go with Two-Heads or Guard. Since 1 blitzer has +MA an the other Claw...guard will be a while, so probably take Guard for now. |

Screw all that noise, give him wrestle and make him spring the ball. |

Block, Sprint and Sure Feet is just too tempting of a combo.
That said, no matter what you pick, you should cherish him! |

Move 10 really lends itself to sprint and one turning. But with s3 you don't want to be leaving him on the bench in defence. s3 really helps for the cage breaking v s2. Really tough as generally GRs are geared to different roles. I think I would go for block. At least you know if you do use him to carry for more than a turn then s3 blodge helps keep him up against blitzes. I wouldn't plan on more till you make it to the level! sidestep would be tempting. |

He needs protection... and you want him to be useful in a variety of instances.
So BLOCK is a no brainer. Players are safest while standing and not falling over.
With Blodge and ST3 you have done just abut all you can.
Side Step and/or Fend would protect him better too.
I'll leave it to you to decide which is more useful or best protection.
Considering he will likely be used to 1 Turn and that falling down is a bad idea... Sure Feet seems like a winner on this guy. Plus on Defense he is your best potential SWEEPER. And if you agree that he should be your Sweeper... then Tackle would be a fairly key skill. Plus using him as a Sweeper ought to protect him a little better when on defense while you still have players on the pitch.
So... Block 1st then Side Step/Fend/Sure Feet.. then Tackle as the 5th skill... then Side Step/Fend/Sure Feet. |
