Hi.
How would you rate the teams by skills required to play them? Not sure i want a complete list of the 24's ones, but somes of the easiest and some of the hardiest, maybe?
I'll give a try, though im not sure im good enough to say anything, but eh !
Easiest : i'd say orc, dwarfs, undead
Hardest : vampire, slaan, necromantics
What you guys think? |

To the owner of the team =). Sorry it sounded logic with my mothertongue transcription, but i think this form can actually says a thing & its opposite. |

Dwarfs might seem easy because they are very resilient, but they are terribly slow and require good positioning, so they aren't really that easy in the greater scheme of things. |

well i understand your point. Though, could we say that khemri has the same disadvantage, plus the fact that they hit less softer, and they are clearly less resilient, and they start with really few skills ! |

What is the skill level of the coach? What is his goal and point of view? |

I would say that Undead is easier only because the limits of the team's players and stats force you to be a bit more conservative than you might normally be. They have a great punch, decent positionals. I see them as an easier iteration of Khemri.
Necro as hard? Hell naw. Necro is fantastic. Wolves are arguably the 3rd best positional in the game after Wardancers and Bull Centaurs. Necro has all the benefits of Undead without having to carry Ghouls if you don't want them but they also can sizzle a lot more. The Flesh Golems with SF inherent and G access are money in the bank.
I'd say that Chaos Dwarves are the easiest because they have most of the benefits of Dwarves with few of the drawbacks thanks to Bull Centaurs coming in pairs and making up for that lack of mobility and strength and being able to function as a fantastic almost unimpeachable ball carrier with +AG and one Double for Dodge. Also you can foul with them thanks to the fodder hobgobs and also take on a Minotaur which has its uses in just being a block sink and guard caddy. At lower TV they can struggle but a well oiled mid TV and higher Chaos Dwarf team is just good.
I'd also say Nurgle is easy too, once they get past a certain TV threshold. They have all the tools to stymie opponents of every stripe and can easily acquire all the rest of the skills to further screw you over: Surehands, Standfirm, Guard, Claw and Mighty Blow, Tackle. And they have fouling fodder as well. The mass Disturbing Presence can also really suck the life out of a OTTD attempt if you must pass for it to work. That teething period before you get some skills is pretty rough though.
Underrated and maybe not quite as easy are Lizardmen. They have beef and finesse and woe be unto you who faces an AG4 skink and a ST6 Break Tackle Saurus.
Toughest? Excluding stunty teams I'd go with Vampires and Slann - Vamps because of the inherent rolls you need to hit and the mass av7 and Slann because you have to be super cognizant of what you're doing every turn and not simply try to leap your way into success. Slann are like gimped humans until they get to a higher TV and then once they're up there can really build some beastly players.
And it might be better to form this question in terms of learning curve. How hard is it to eek out a decent enough record with them? |

1 bad turn and underworld go from have a chance to total collapse. When it comes to teetering on the knife edge I can't think of anyone worse. |

Okay. I dont expect dark elves to be difficult for you, but they would be for many mid level coaches. I would say khemri, dwarfs, norse, underworld might be difficult for you. But it is just a guess based on your fumbbl stats, and team behaviour. |

Well, thanks for the answer. But is there a more common knowledge about team difficulties? You know "what people says", like orc are easy to play (i often read that). Seems like you dont want to enter this subject though |

It's too hard to say
It depends
Specifically it can depend how good you are defensively Vs how good you are offensively
If you can elfball or if you prefer brawling
For example a common mistake I keep making all the time is sending too many guys into the brawl, to get assists etc instead of solidly protecting the ball
I find i do well with lizards, probably partly because the skinks obviously don't belong in the scrum so it shields me from making that mistake too much |

All the teams have their challenges when you start:
(Disclaimer: I have gathered this knowledge from the pc games and taple top)
Dwarfs, Orcs and Chaos dwarves suffer greatly from lack of speed which means you have to be a bit cleverer positionally.
All the elves and skaven, suffer from durability isuues so you can get stomped pretty hard.
Norse are relatively easy to start because of the almost ubiquitous block skill.
Chaos chosen are tough enough but ball handling and no block is a big issue.
I havn't really played with any undead or vampire enough to know how they work properly.
Bretonians are decent if you use blitzers as you have some good block skilled ball handlers straight away.
Id say, Dark elves because you can take 4 blitzers or Bretonians (again with blitzers would be the easiest starters. |

Also, stats can't really help
Eg wood elves have a high winrate, but that doesn't mean they're easy
I think there's different areas of the game that coaches can be good or bad at, that suit different teams. If you're bad at positioning/planning you will struggle with dwarves |

this is usually referred to as tiers. There are quite a lot of tier lists online, for example this one by the NAF
this forum has seen a few discussions about tiers, too, but the search function can be a bit taxing. |
