Persony I care about Trolls in this matter.
I know that Trolls can gain Pass and Accurate.
I know that the Pass skill works when they Throw a Team Mate.
Questions:
1. Does the Accurate Skill works when they Throw a Team Mate?
2.Can They gain Nerves of Stell and Strong Arms? And if they can, can a Troll use those traits to Throw a Team Mate?
If you have answers or similar questions, please post. |

well yes to Q1 and to NoS, but since Strong arm is a Thrower trait, that´s not possible.
However since a troll has AG 1, and a quick pass counts as a shortpass(due to throwing a team mate), and as forth, it´ll only help on quick passes, unless ofcourse he also gains AG....... |

Pass and pro are probably the most helpfull skills if you want to TTM. Pro to reroll always hungry/really stupid and pass to re-roll fumbbls on a pass. Pass here being the most important... personally I prefer throwing flings, trees are just much better at throwing than trolls. Nos and accurate seems like a bit of a waste, though accurate lowers the fumbl range by one (I think) and NoS off course lowers it if your in tackle zones. That probably wont happen too often.
A troll without skills has a 50/108 (about 50%) chance off making an inaccurate shortpass (counts as longpass).
With pass its 200/324 (about 62%) chance.
Accurate gives you 125/216 (about 58%).
NoS has no effect normally and pro is worse than accurate...its around 54%, but its better at saving your player from injuries. Have Topper do the calculations on making an accurate pass... You'll find that accurate is pretty useless there also, unless you have an AG increase or only make a quickpass (shortpass).
Hope it helps... |

Forgot to mention. Combined accurate and pass gives a 67,5% chance... while pass and pro gives 67,9%.
Pro and accurate only gives 63,7%. So my advice seems to hold (if my calculations do.. pro has been made better by a very small margin to ease the work a bit, should not effect the results though). |

Then its simple... dont get accurate. I would go for pro then pass... as pro also helps in other situations. Futhermore youll doubbles to get any of the skills .
@Bruno
I only do the math... didn't bother to read the rules LOL |

As a great exponent of the art of chucking I agree. Pro and Pass on Trolls for slinging, trouble is you rely on getting them both on a double - don't know the chances of a player getting two doubles 1 in 9 ?? But treemen I'd go for pass first. |

2 doubles really isn'y tough maths.
1 in 6 for the first double skill roll.
1 in 6 for the second double skill roll.
So if you mean on their forst 2 skills you just need to know the answer to 6x6.
If you mean during their lifetime than thats maths of an order you need a nerd for. |

actually for a tree it would be 1/9 (4/36) cause you WILL take +str and +ma (hmmmmm, MA3 Tree)
with a troll you might skip the +ma to take pass there |

My probability theory is a bit rusty, but I think that with 4 skills rolls the probability of rolling 2 doubles are 191/1296 or 14.7%. [nerd out] |

Thanks everyone for all the help!
I didn't say something about Pro because I think that before the re-roll may be made, a D6 must be rolled. On a roll of 4, 5 or 6 the re-roll may be made. On a roll of 1, 2 or 3 the original result stands and may not be re-rolled. If this is true, then this trait is bad, because it has 50% chances to give you the re-roll.
So is this true? |

yes and 50% to get a rr is the best skill for any BG that cant mutate ímo
is it a turn over if the troll eat the player or kills him in some other way if that person does not have the ball?
note to self: i cannot throw players that are not my own |

weve just had a chat in the #fumbbl about this, pass and pro are the ONLY 2 skills that can affect a throw teamate pass, and it has been worked out that there is actully an exactly the same proboblility of throwing the pass with both skills (50/81 or 61.7% for a long pass if you wanted to know) the only advantage pass has, is that it gives a very very slightly better chance for the gobbo to land, but then again pro can work for any other roll the big guy is required to make, so i would advise pro over pass, as neither accurate or NoS work when throwing teamates |
