I just noticed a "Progression: Standard"-text in my team pages, and i dont think it has been there for very long... whats it all about? What different proression types there can be? All my teams seem to be Standard Smile

It's because it is possible for a team to play in a tournament where the teams do not progress skill-wise. I'd guess it also says something different in divX where there is no aging. But yeah - all your teams are probably standard if they're not in a non-progression league or divX.

EDIT: Just checked. It doesn't say anything about divX but the non-progression league thing still applies.

But what is the point with it?? If it only does something in tournies?
Or have I missunderstood somethin?

That still doesn't explain why we can suddenly see the info on our team pages. Perhaps to avoid confussion when people stumble across players with several TDs, Cas and etc. but without a single SSP?

Yeah. What stops me from making a Non progression Wood Elf team in Ranked with low FF, no apo, and two wardancers?
Assuming I avoid Dorfs, I'll win almost all games, and my CR would skyrocket.
Shouldn't this feature stick to Unranked alone?

I definitely think so.

So will unranked stunty teams with BG Gen access show a different progression from stunty teams from [R]?

I should think that the best temporary solution is that noone uses the new feature - at least untill Christer has informed us what it is for Smile.

Rumour has it he was on not so long ago......([10:42] <BowlBot> christer was online 1 day, 4 hours, 5 minutes ago.)

Fumbbl was having a problem handling teams being swapped in and out for non-progression tournaments that resulted in the info on your page. You can find some discussion on it here.

Progression is only triggered when new team plays on non-progression tournament. After first game in non-progression tournament team becomes non-progressive and is that as long as that team exist. Teams can only play versus same progression. There wont be any non-progression teams in ranked unless there will be official non-progression tournament in ranked. Progression view was most prolly added just as reminder so you can easily see if you have non-progression team in unranked because its waste of time to play that team versus normal progression because game wont be uploadable.

So could you make a non progression team in unranked and play other non progression teams? It seems like a great idea to test tourney teams.

And also, one off games were what the rules were designed for Wink
