Is it possible to play with retired teams?

I can choose to play with them but havent tried it:

Yes you can play with them but remember to turn off the fumbbl login, and of course the games can´t be uploaded.

Does it really work. The retired teams have no roster page. Or at least it shows "This team is not ready to play".
