If someone tries to dodge out the tackle zone of a player whith tackle & diving tackle, and supponing that the opponent coach choose to use the diving tacle skill...
..since the diving tackle player will end up prone, will his tackle skill be still effective for that dodge (i.e. prevent the dodging player from using the dodge skill)?

Yes. If a dodge player dodges out of your Diving Tackler with tackle, he has just ONE roll at with a -2 penalty. |

Yes it will. The opponent can however still use a RR. |

I think he means...
Player dodge out.
DT is used
Dodge is rolled,
Dodge fails but the DT was necessary to make it fail, so DT player goes prone.
Since he is prone, his Tackle skill shouldnt work.
Can the dodging player use his Dodge skill...? (considering Tackle might prevent it...or not)

Player dodges: tackle skill comes into effect. Diving tackle is asked to be used. Player fails dodge due to diving tackle, player goes prone. takcle negates dodge. dodger uses reroll or goes prone//worse |

I'm not sure about the theoretical issue, but no matter what the answer the result will still be the same.

it gets even nastier when you combine those skills with sidestep, prehensile tail and shadowing =P

shadowing and DT which works fine in the normal BB game, but the online client has problems using it, you have to chose to use shadowing, if you choose not to then it asks to use DT, but yes Tackle, DT, Prehensile Tail, SideStep are all really annoying!  |
