Not sure whether this has been discussed in the past and not knowing anything about java scripting - not actually sure this is possible given the numerous scenarios in a game. I played in a match where it was down to the my last turn in the second half and the scores were tied. I blitzed my opponent carrying the ball and knocked him down. The unfortunate part of the manouever was I needed to follow up to protect the ball in case I was unable to pick it up with another player (hoping to score). My opponent could have scored had I failed to pick up the ball. Anyways in following up the block the ball scattered into my blitzers square and he promptly caught the ball - to my utter dismay, therefor eliminating that chance to pass/handoff to score. Is it possible to code the option to say you dont want to pick up the ball in this situation? Just curious. |

SkiJunkie - See thats what happens when you dont pay enough attention. Thx for pointing it out .
Now I understand that FUMBBL follows the living rule book to the best of its ability but surely in the scenario I outlined it is of more benefit not to actually pick up the ball. Ah well sometimes you just have to live by the rules. |

If you don't want to get the ball with the player that is blitzing or just blocking, don't follow up. To protect the ball just move the player after the ball has scatter. |
