Skills & traits in the refernce section of the rules wrote:

Wild Animal
The player has a nasty tendency to get a bit carried away during a match. Wild Animals must take their actions first of all during a turn (they must be activated). If you take an action with another player before moving all Wild Animals, then your opponent can call you for illegal procedure exactly as if you had forgotten to move the Turn marker. In addition, if a standing Wild Animal is adjacent to a standing player from the opposing team then they must take either a Block or Blitz action, and throw a block at an adjacent player. Last but not least, Wild Animals can never receive assists when they Block or Foul; they are simply too out of control for other players to help them out.

I think this needs to be updated. This must be very confusing to new players.

I didn't check the other skills for errors. Maybe there are more of them.

I don't quite understand why there is a skill rules section. What the skills do can be found in the LRB, so why repeat it here?

Take Root displays the same problem, by the way.
And I think FUMBBL rules which differ from LRB, such as frenzy, should be edited in the refernce section as well. That way the reference section will be useful again and we won't have to double check with "Differences from board game" all the time.

These are older rules.
Wild Animal players do not have to move first.
There are new rules for Wild Animal in the new living rulebook.

The LRB 4 says it like this:

Quote:
Wild Animal
Wild Animals are uncontrollable creatures that rarely do exactly
what a coach wants of them. In fact, just about all you can really
rely on them to do is lash out at opposing players that move too
close to them! To represent this, when you declare an action with
a Wild Animal, roll a D6, adding +2 to the roll if taking a Block or
Blitz action. On a roll of 1-3, the Wild Animal stands still and
roars in rage instead, and the action is wasted. Note that the
Wild Animal no longer has to move first and that he can now use
assists. Also note that no D6 roll is required for the Wild Animal
to turn face-up when stunned.

And yes, I know, there are differences from the boardgame, but I think this is not one of them

Ah, I see what the OP meant - discrepencies between old rules and new rules. As Markusen said.

It's handy to have skill rules on a separate sheet. My LRB is a PDF and it takes a while to open the reader and then search for the appropriate entry.
The other reason is that our local reference page could be updated with FUMBBL rules and thus be even more reliable than LRB.

The point is simple, since this section is no longer up to date, it either needs to removed, or updated.

I would say just remove it, since as was stated above just repeating the LRB rules here adds nothing and I think out admins have better things to do.

why not link the LRB 4.0 rules and jsut write down whats different in fumbbl? this way you neednt maintain as much info which is redundant (one is allowed to wait a few seconds more for a pdf to open IMHO)

I think you're right Skrofler. If there's a page with rules why don't someone update it? Not many new coaches have the LRB and because some skills have changed over the time (many coaches finds Fumbbl after they have had a break from BB). It shouldn't take to long to transfer the right descriptions either.
