So I am playing my friend soon. He got this team
http://fumbbl.com/FUMBBL.php?page=team&op=view&team_id=258201
and tend to cage alot. Well thats what he did a long time ago when we played the board edition.
I am probaly going to use my new chaos team to beat him, but how?

Off course its crucial to try and stop him from cageing, but its not that easy.
Should I apply a lot off presseur hoping him to go short in his 2 rerolls?
Or is this game simply lost?
I will probaly update after meeting my other friends undead team later tonight.
Managed to win our first meeting, but only because he suck at the rules. The lucky bas... got a +1 str mummy on his first and only starroll. |

I would say, forget Chaos, play halflings! Stunty players are great for cage-breaking at low TR! |

Stay out of his TZs....... he has higher armour, more ST, and more block than you. Keep a number of beastmen in between him and the EZ. If he cages..... stay one square away and blitz his corner guys off then mark them in a TZ away from the cage.

Thanks a lot for the many replies!
I am wondering if i made a mistake buying my 12th beastman after the first game. Mainly it was because off 2 SI beastmen from the first game, only allowing me to setup up with 9 players initially |

Fact of the matter is, Orcs are stronger than you around TR 100 imho, as Synn said(i think) stay clear of a manmarking system, just stand one square away from his cage and limit his forward progress, if you can capitalise on your chances and slow him down enough, youve got a shot imho. |

Be cruel. Place some beastmen in the way like George here said, maybe 4-5 of them. Meanwhile, use the other players to get advantage in numbers. That's what I would have done, but I suck so don't listen to me. |

Or just buy a new beastman and keep on going?
Perhaps I should start a team a bit better in the beginning. Just until I master the game. Any thoughts? |

My thoughts are - walk the hard way, play with those 9 beastmen and buy a chaos warrior after the next game and then chaos warriors from that point onward till you've got the full 4. |

Mate,
You already chose to take the difficult route. Chaos is less than good at low TR. They suffer from a lack of skills enormously.
On the other hand: you are doing great! 100% win ratio.
Like Optihut I would say - walk the hard way. You will always have this with a chaos team. Play another match, get yourself a CW and keep on doing your thing.
Make sure to make at least one completion with any player that gets that MVP, even it will cost you a RR. You need to hit that 6 SPP and those skills asap.
Good luck,
Jazz
EDIT: I suddenly notice that you do not have an apo yet... that would also be something to consider. Perhaps you should buy that even before that CW. With some luck, you might be able to buy that CW after next match anyway. |

assuming you don't want to retire the team, I'd probably suggest buying an apothecary now (rather than a beastman) - even though it means you have only 9 next match, there's a good chance it will save one death/permanent injury (especially if things keep going the way they have been ). Then stick with buying beastmen until you get to 11 players again. |
