No pitch for oppo when I host

Hi, having real problems with the client.
When I host my opponent does not see a pitch or and coin toss etc.
When they host at halftime or when I score their side of the game hangs.

Recently started using the network port on my computer (integrated on Nvidia Nforce 3 Gb250 chipset with latest 5.11 drivers) via a netgear DG834 router/modem (upgraded to latest firmware)

I have also uninstalled and reinstalled the client (8.5)
and uninstalled and reinstalled Java from 5 to 1.4.2

Nvidia network chipsets are not mentioned in the known network drivers issues page so I'm not sure what to do next.

Any ideas gratefully recieved.
