This may look like every other "New team, Round Robin Tourney".... but it's not! Here's the twist.
Once your team is created, and accepted... you may never purchase new players.... ever!
No replacing injured, niggled, or dead players...
No freebooters... No Stars... Nothing!
Coaches may spend their money any other way they wish, so long as they do not add players to the roster. In other words, no restrictions on re-rolls, assitant coaches, cheerleaders, apoths, wizards, or fan factor.
Concept is survival. The team that survives the longest, wins! Play will continue until all teams have retired, been deemed crippled, or dropped out... except one team. That one team will be the Stunty Squish Fest Champs!

Hello Coaches!
Well, we have 4 teams for the tournament thus far. We have 2 options.
I can start the league with the four of us, and as we get other applications,
for new 4 team divisions.... or we can wait a while longer and try to get another
4 teams, to start an 8 team division. Either way is cool with me. All depends on how
eeager you guys are to start, and how long you want the round robins to be. (4 teams
will only yeild 3 rounds, where as 8 will yield 7 rounds)
Let me know what you'd like, and in the meantime, spread the word and lets try to get more
people involved in what should prove to be a very amusing and entertaining tourney

I would like to join as soon as my team is approved.
A team is considered "crippled" anytime that, due to their lack of numbers, they cause the game to glitch for any reason. Once this happens, the team is considered to be ineffective, and must immediately leave the group... or if they are reported, they will be kicked.
What do you mean by cause the game to glitch?

Question - Nurglings. Are they allowed to Rez enemy players to Restock their Ranks? I'm in, but I want to know as it will determine my team picks. |

Glad to see so many application!!!
Welcome to the league new coaches.
We now have enough to start the first division of 8!
I have accepted teams in order of application. Hence the first 8 teams that applied
will be in the first division... the leftovers will have to wait until we have enough to
start a second division. So keep those team applications coming.
As far as the Nurgling question...
I have not made any restrictions on team race, nor their special abilities for this first season.
This premier season will be kind of a "test season", and as we find situations that make the
league unbalanced, we will discuss it, and make rules changes for future seasons.

Certain handicaps can cause the game to "glitch" when you don't have a full team.
For example...
Late in the season, you only have 3 players left on your team, your opponent has 2. You have
a better TR, so your opponent gets a handicap. The roll results as "I AM THE GREATEST". So, now
you have 3 players on your roster, but can only put 2 on the line of scrimmage, because of the handicap.
The server does not recognize this, and will not allow you to continue the game. It sees 2 players on the
line of scrimmage, and a third in the reserves box. It wants you to put the 3rd on the line, because by the
rules you have to... but you can't due to "I AM THE GREATEST". Your team is so inefficient, or "crippled" you
have caused the game to "glitch"... and the team must be retired.
That's just one example... I'm sure there are more out there that I haven't run into yet.

Just finished first round match in Div II. "Here Squiggy Squiggy" held on for a tough 1-0 win vs. NekaFuksa's "Hensom People".
Wow, tough game. But, in the spirit of the league...there were a few deaths involved! Two for each of us, sadly for my opponent, his second came on a 2nd half turn 8 GFI to tie the game. Ouch! Could have been a lot worse for me, Neka broke armor a lot, but I was lucky that most of my guys only ever got KO'd.
Fortunately at least, none of the big guys got killed, though one of my Squigg Riders did get a niggle and will miss the next game.
Finally, I have to take my hat off to my opponent for two things:
1. I never saw such great hands for AG2 players! What does a nurgling pick up the ball with anyway?! LOL
2. Tentacles on a S5 player can wrap up S2 players like nobodys business! |
