CRABTREE ZZZAPPPERS 2 AMSTERDAM AMAZONS 0
The ZZZAPPPERS won a comfortable victory here in a game that saw both Kelly and Megumi of the Amazons killed. The Amazons had a few offensive moments, but were always found wanting. In the end, the skills of the ZZZAPPPERS negated most of the Amazon's strengths.
It remains to be seen how the Amazons will bounce back from this crushing loss - and whether the ZZZAPPPERS can be stopped in the opening tournament! |

RED DEVIL LEGENDS 3 EAST BAFFIN DARK KNIGHTS 2
A cracking cup game here between two Elven sides, both looking for TD's from the start...the crowd was very noisy tonight - the stadium managers said that they thought it was down to the large contingent of supporters coming from the bars of Amsterdam tonight!!!!
The High Elves took first blood, with an outrageous passing move, but their Dark cousins quickly pulled it back before half-time.
In the second half the Dark Elves scored a second TD early on but failed to hold the lead as the High Elves blasted straight back. In the penultimate turn of the second half, the High Elves sealed the vctory.
In sum, excellent performances all round on the night, but as one of the more observent fans said, "Both teams played very flat and once someone broke through the lines, they scored." |

I didn't read anything about playing outside the league or not and started game with someone else.
Now I can't upload the game (also I lost and got nasty niggling injuries).
Do I have to leave the league and reenter afterwards? |

Jan,
I see what happens now - when you have a team in a league, and you play a friendly, THAT FRIENDLY WILL BE IGNORED. It will not change any aspect of your team. It's like it never happened!
There IS a way to update the teams though - you'd have to exit the UFL and then re-upload the result. Then you and your opponent's records, teams etc. would be updated as a result of the game.
After that, you can re-enter the UFL as normal. I will temporarily kick your team so this can be done.

"Well, I was dreading this match going into it, as I don't usually like playing people when there is a DP on the team.
Fortunately my opponent only made 4 fouls in the game, and none were very serious. The game itself was a thriller, with 5 TD, and the winning TD from the Chaos Dwarfs came in the last turn of the game - relying upon 4 dicerolls to succeed...they had to earn their victory tonight
The Chaos Dwarves scored the first and third TD, and the High Elves pegged them back on each occasion, but there was just not enough juice left in the tank (4 players BH and 1 S/Off) to stop the 5th and winning TD of the game!!" |

Ahh well the Devils live to fight another day....2 skills and 50K with no lasting damage was not too bad a game, and I can draw courage that even destructive looking teams can be beaten, if you keep your focus on the ball.
By playing aggressively with the ball, you force destructive teams to play differently, as they then need to concentrate on the ball more than normal, meaning that there is less time for fouling, and they reduce the number of blocks as they can't risk a turnover until they are sure they can't do anything more to the danger players on the ball.
All credit to Domsterlord for playing well with his team, and he has some good skills accross the squad, personally I would ditch the troll for a minotaur, as the trolls are just too damn stupid for my liking

AAAGGGHHHHH....I have just seen the list of league opponants so far.....looks very bashy to me....my poor poor High Elves....can they even last one season amongst this set of thugs???? |

Unless you're Amazons, who are not so gifted as Elves, against Chaos Dwarves, who have TACKLE!
I ended up with 2 dead, numerous injuries, no SPPs, no money and TS down 30!
A cracking result in other words

OUCH Pras, that is horrendous, but then again Chaos Dwarfs are a very good team with a few skills, and I hate them almost as much as Orcs when I am playing against them!!! |

Well it could have been worse,
not sure how but I am certain it could have been.
p.s.
As for the mino vs the troll I disagree for a lot of reasons:
1. Regenerate much more usefull than Frenzy, Especially on a big guy
2. AV 9 is better than Av 8 and The differences in Ag and move won't mean much
3. I actually prefer Really Stupid to Wild animal, especially if my Troll is lying on the ground...

My sole reason for favouring the Minotaur over the troll is that he still has a tackle zone when Really Wild takes effect.
Actually an Ogre is the best but they are not available to C Dwarves. |

Well, now we can start with the "regular" season. After my game vs the Crabtree ZZZAPPPERS of Domsterlord with the victory of my team, we finished the mini-ko tournament and we can go now for the real thing... :9 |
