Leg up gents! Happy new merry Year, health, oestrogen a plenty and free drinks to all. SO, Champion's Cup has started, bow we do before pizzamogul, first tourney winner in Vidar Invitational. We all agree that his victory was solely due to his famous strategy: 'Fickle the Dice'.
<b>The Lucky Git</b> prize goes to the lucky chap who managed to pull a rabbit of his wahoo! to make it to next round.
<b>The Steel Curtain</b> goes to the player that showed the most solid D during a game.
Finally, <b>Rocky's Forehead</b> goes to the player who showed most resilience through agonizing pain.
<u>The Lucky Git </u>
Here, I was tortured between Mully's 5+ pickup and score at end of the game or AlcingRagaholic's Coin Toss win in round 1 of Aesir against Reaper.
OT, turn 20, orc blitzer in TD range, Norse blitzer 2 gfi's blitz: POW, stun, thx a lot. And then, Coin Toss to 'reward' him. Alcing, you' the man!
<u>The Steel Curtain</u>
This one goes out to casimir for his cage-breaking grade A treatment in his match vs. Lurking Grue's Khorne Dogs.
Steel -
He opened up the can in turn 4 and never looked back. Nods to falconeyed for his cage-breaking 'à la elf' in round 1 of Aesir also.
<u>Rocky's Forehead</u>
Hands down, this was a no-brainer. Again, we go back to the game between Alcing's Norse and Reaper's Orcs. Down 30 on TR, and outmanned in 2nd half, Reaper managed to pull his 9 player team through 8 more turns of OT to see Alcing stun his blitzer on a one-dice block. Then, a rotten dagger in the back with a loss by Toss.
