Abolish stars and wizards. (yes wizards too).
They favour the armor-heavy sides and make it possible to win based almost solely on the star. The count springs to mind.

If it were to come to a vote...I would vote KEEP the stars. But make them be declared same as a Wizard so oponent has a chance to make a move too if they can. |

Actually I think you are 100% wrong about the wizards. If anything they heavily favor the elves. What is likely to knock down more players, a fireball vs AG4 or a fireball vs AG2. Its the best way for elf teams to break up dwarf and Khemri cages.
ie - not a chance I am scuffing the wizards. |

I think wizards should definitely stay for the reasons Mully gave.
Stars? Well with the Count I got to last season's final and I have Really Stupid as one of my coach skills, so I can understand if people want to get rid of them.
On the other hand they certainly add a bit of variety and how often do dwarves, chaos dwarves or orcs use/need stars (apart from the odd Nobbla who I wouldn't call a game-breaker)? The Orca-Cola Series has no stars and there is only ONE elf team in the top 20. Stars or not, it seems elves just wanna play elfbowl... |

I´ll elaborate a bit on my statement then.
With AV-heavy sides (CD, Dorf, Orc, Chaos to some extend) chances are that you won´t be losing many players (especially with the hard restrictions to damage-inducing skill) and thus will generate extra cash (for stars and wizards). Elves/skaven - normally - won´t have that option in a fixed environment.
So, while i agree that elves are more likely to benefit from using a wizard, i think the reality is that they will not be able to afford it. But the bashy teams will, adding another weapon (albeit a less-than-optimal one) to their arsenal. Especially when thay cannot use their money on Star players. that is why i think that the abolishment of stars also should lead to the abolishment of wizards. But i´ll agree on whatever the majority decides, it´snot a major issue.

Don´t change anything that work is what I think. Blutballas have been one of the tourneys who have worked very well, especially with the restrictions we have.
So my vote goes to keep both stars and wizards.
