only for you're information: i've rolled two 1's in a row while trying to go for it while playing the board game, and i've seen a guy on some convention once who rolled 2 double skulls in a row, matter of fact.... |

I have done hte two double skulls on my Rat ogre before (using pro to reroll).
I have a new top feat.
I had to blitz with my Skaven AG4 thrower (only had accurate as well) against another thrower with no bock or anything.
I hit him 1d block, skull. Rerolled, skull. Injury table, DEAD. Use aprocrathy FAILED!!!!
That is a total of three ones and two sixes in the wrong place.
Lets define the odds 1/6+1/6+15/36 (av7 hit) + 1/36 + 1/6
simplifing the odds we get 5/139968.
I believe that is 0.0036%
NOw I understand that Bad luck is possible, But why did it have to happen to MY AG4 thrower!!! |

oh cool it dudes.
I rolled sextuplets ( that's 6 gentlemen) skulls , on a 3db block with rr.
So you see... anything is possible.
all the coaches on fumbbl make enough dice rolls as a collective for the
weirdest things to happen.
(crap i tell ya) |

oh btw, grey ghost. that maths is wrong.
you can't do a direct addition because they are not independent events.
the real maths , while a lot more technical, won't be far from that though...
just so you know |

absolutezero, i believe grey ghost is in fact very close to correct (he musta just made a small miscalculation), the odds are 5/93312 (which is exactly 3/2 times more than what grey ghost calculated, which is why I assume he just made a small error). He isn't strictly "adding" the numbers, he is adding probabilities which I guess is like a different type of addition, for example boolean (logic) addition is different to normal addition (0+0+0=0, 0+1+0=1, yet 1+1+1=1).
The actual numerical maths is just achieved by substituting multiplications for the addition signs.
Grey ghost, bad luck mate. Thats randomness for ya. |

It's 1 in 9 to fail a 3+ with a reroll ... 2/6 x 2/6 = 4/36 or 1 in 9.
If you play enough games, you will have 8 others where you made the 3+ pick-up for the win. |

lol i lost count of the number of games on tabletop in NAF ranked tournaments where i failed to pick up the ball on 3+ with a reroll
in one game i must have done it at least 7 times and i got absolutly spanked, clearly the dice are just as bad, get over it and learn how to play the game better, these things happen
if you were good you wouldn't have needed that pass or pick up to level you would have needed it to extend your win |

Well, since we can't toss dice accross the room (Seen it done), can't present the opponent with brand new dice to stop him loading them (Done that), or ask the telekenitic friends to stop playing with the dice rolls (Seen that one too), we might as well bitch here |

Yes you could. Dice are as random as it gets and I've rolled some weird results with real dice in my time. |
Er, I think sk8bcn was arguing for the randomness of the dice roller, so unless you're being ironic about an ironic statement... |
Haven't you ever heard of triple irony? |

After a thinking of it I think that people that are unlucky are really unlucky.
That's bad.
But at least there still is some lucky lucky-person's.
That's good.
At least I do elevate the debat not like anyone here |
