Ogre ogre, it's very good. Human ogre, it's not.

Take this guy for example:

...with break tackle, pro and block he will be the ultimate ogre ball carrier!
You just need four doubles and +AG, not much to ask Razz

Long gone are the days where you could actually do that... On doubles, remove a negatrait instead of adding a skill. 3rd edition I believe.

Would you remove Bone-head over taking block, anyway? Wink

I think I would. Lets assume blocking. Bone-head is a 1/6 liability, while blockless liability is the balance of 1/9 and 1/36. 1/9-1/36=1/12
So the risk of bonehead is double the risk of not having block.
(I am aware that block is also good on defense when being hit, but you wont block every action, you would also move, etc, when block skill is not an issue, but bone head is.)

Block preferred on 5+5, surely?

Yes you're right
and forgot to say Sure Hands is a good double
But Block and Tackle (maybe even Tackle first depending on the player) are more important

I think that Sure Hands is the first double in an Ogre team to get your ball carrier.
For the other players Block and if they get to roll a second double I'd chose Pro.

I'd only take Sure Hands on an Ogre that I wanted to be my ball carrier once he already had Block. The reasons for this are no different than for a normal team's ball carrier. St5 is not enough protection in itself. Also Block can be used offensively. Strip ball is not that common, that Sure Hands is an absolute essential, imo. Pro I would not take unless you get loads of doubles on the same player.

I like Sure Hands not as a counter to Strip Ball but as a re roll. Maybe a bit biased because I have used the 0 reroll/6 ogres and the 2/5 starting lineups so far.

Edit:
It also depends on how early you get to roll the doubles. If for example is his second skill and has piling on, block is the obvious choice.

Yeah Leaping Ogre would be special
I'd say Ag3 is all you need if you like to gamble
For a chaos mino its only one double required (Leap and VLL)
But leaping trolls have to be the best of all, surely? Smile
