Normally I know what I would take on an Ulf with a double but it's his 5th skill and I'm really conflicted.
Here's the player:

And the team:

Before that roll, Break Tackle was on the menu but this throws that off just a tad.....
Since he doesn't have Break Tackle and took a -AG a couple of games ago, Dodge doesn't quite look as attractive as Rage tends to spend more time on the ground than upright so he is rarely the target of a block.
Thoughts on what choice and why? |

Well, that's one I wasn't even thinking of and I'm not sure why I would want it as he spends a lot of his time on the ground so diving tackle isn't going to help much.
Perhaps you were looking at the lack of tackle on the team, yes it's a little light but that's because I had to trim some bloat and retired 2 3-skill linos who hadn't doubled and the -AV runner. |

No clue about BB, or norse in particular.
What i found out though is that they die easily like flies, but like to fight.
Give the sorry sod a protection skill. Yeah dodge seems still a no brainer to me. And no brainers is what our brains crave! |

And I forgot about the agility roll for Jump Up so it seems that facing a 4+ to get up isn't quite worth using the doubles for. |

Jump Up, Yes, He's now a strong Berserker. That's a good thing.
Edit: I didn't see the -AG.
Nuffle...
So sad. |

I really don't like that player, for some reason PO on an ulf doesn't feel right.
I'd go jump up though. Not because of the block from prone, but just for the extra movement it allows him.
Otherwise skip for break tackle. |

My gut is saying dodge for added survivability, but if he's already got guard/po you're meeting tackle for sure. I'd say +MA to get him where he needs to be when he -is- upright. |

I'm in agreement with licker.
He has PO, Jump up makes sense simply for the +3 movement when standing, and 3 extra movement is always great for positioning your men |

If he has PO then JU is not terrible, despite Ag 1.
And +MA is not bad - again, w/ PO he needs more MA to get back up and then get somewhere useful, and an MA 7 Frenzy can surf considerably more on Turn 1 than MA 6 - and get off the sideline again!
If you take Dodge now then he's more survivable, and BT as the Legend skill gives him the auto-RR.
But, all things considered... I think I'd go with the ever-popular Pro - he's a killer, he's a surfer, and he'll "never" have the ball - perfect player for a free coin-toss every failed block. |

I'm not a fan of PO either...
I've taken +AV on an Ulf in the past, and it's not as bad as it sounds, but only on a 6+4.
Here, I would say either Dodge or Side-Step. Norse are fragile, anything that can let them live another game is welcome, hence Dodge. But Ulf are also surf machines, so they can really use SS or SF. And since he has Guard already, your opponent is likely to think carefully before he blocks him if he has SS (that's actually more effective against experienced coaches: rookie coaches would simply block him without thinking and roll a POW ). |
