Hey you. Yes you. Stand still laddie. And listen up.
SPLATTR is a new league consisting of teams entirely composed of Underworld Goblins and it is now recruiting for the inaugural season.
Wotz it all about?
Teams of Underworld goblins (position is capped at 12).
800k starting cash
No other players can be bought or induced but all other inducements are allowed.
Custom SPP levels to allow for rapid development: 3,8,15,24,35,48,63
Why should I join?
A league where no players on the pitch have normal access to block or tackle but all players have dodge and stunty.
Throwing a 1db is just as likely to knock you down as it is to knock your opponent down.
Claw is pointless
Stalling is possible but much more risky due to everyone moving at the same speed and being able to move anywhere

That's about it 
The league will start in 1 weeks time (28th April) and will be using the open round robin format - play against every opponent in your league once in any order you wish. There will be a ruling put in place to stop teams playing too far ahead. Likewise, dependent upon number of entered teams, we may split into more than 1 league. The length of the first season will also depend upon the number of entered teams but will roughly aim for 1 week per opponent you have to play.

As an inaugural member, I can tell anyone interested that this is a LOT of fun. There is a lot of mistakes, exciting sprints for the end zone, and trying to dodge past each other like dirty elves.
There is no rock-paper-scissors, and no matter who starts with the ball, anyone can score. If you want to try something a bit different, and concentrate on having fun, then come join!  |

When we've reached the cut-off date for entry into season 1 (this coming thurs folks) then I'll send a PM round to gauge people's thoughts. I think they are both solid ideas, but players didn't sign up knowing that.

I like Zharia's idea with the spiked ball, gobbo's dying with every failed pick'up, will be hilarious when the ball is knocked free and all are trying to grab it. |

9 coaches signed up now. Do you have the power, the drive, the desire... to take us to double digits?
Do you go weak at the knees when you imagine teams of underworld goblins playing each other?
Do you wake at night, shaking, after dreams of goblins with tentacles coming from beneath their cowls (careful, nudge nudge).
If so then sign yourself up for SPLAttr. You may think that's a curious name for a league with no ttm but you haven't seen the rate at which the gobbos leave the pitch. |
