So I got this Skaven team and my Gutter Runners have just been rolling like crazy. These are my current runners:
Runner 1: Horns, Wrestle Strip Ball
Runner 2: Block, AG5, +MA
Runner 3: Wrestle, AG5
Runner 4: Block, AG5
Now Runner 4 has rolled Doubles, and I'm kind of stumped about what to pick. |

Hi!
Either Horns or Two Heads. I suggest Horns.
Since he has AG 5 consider taking Leap (and Side Step) in the future.
Guard could be another option: with Leap he could jump into a cage and give the assist to the blitzing Horns, Wrestle, Strip Ball GR. |

Sure Hands is nice but I would take it later, after Leap and Side Step. |

Side Step is a must to run along the side lines without being pushed out of the pitch, so, assuming only regular rolls:
Block, +AG, Horns, Leap, Side Step, Sure Hands.
Side Step could be taken before Leap, but that's how I would build him. |

Guard! He could take Leap next and provide assists where needed, assuming that he lives that long. Side step after Leap, if he keeps rolling normals. Although I might still go with Side Step before Leap, since it's more safe, as others have mentioned. His dodges are still good. Your runners are amazing! |

I rolled double on Runner 4 @MattDakka, hence my conundrum.
Yeah I need a Ball Carrier, but I was thinking Dump-Off would be pretty sweet on a Gutter Ball Carrier with AG5? Then possibly Sure Hands on next level-up?
Leap isn't as good on a Block player as on a Wrestle player, so I'm thinking I'll go Leap next on the AG5, Wrestle guy.
Side Step is sick on Gutters I've just been glutted with these sick rolls. But maybe it is time to stop the party and just go for the sensible choice.
Guard is just crazy |

noooooooooooooooo, don't take Dump off. Why is your new ag5 blodge Sure Hands ball carrier getting hit? Dump off is final skill material if you like that type of thing |

I would least like to face him with guard. |

It's difficult enough for Skaven to steal the ball, so why not take Guard? Can't never have enough of that. It has uses against every single team in Blood Bowl. Also blitzers ain't leaping anywhere.
With Agility 5 on 3 guys retrieving the ball shouldn't be a problem. It's not a bad choice to take Sure Hands, but I'd imagine that Guard would be activated much more in a game. With blodge+side step it gets frustrating for opponents to deal with him and with Agility 5 and possibly Leap you can really stick him pretty much anywhere.
I agree that Dump off wouldn't be an attractive choice. If you get the ball, get it to a safe(-ish) place or go for the touchdown. He really shouldn't be getting hit. |
