It's in the title. Obviously this applies only to a 6+4 roll, as a double 5 offers much better options.
I am especially curious as to when in a TG's development people might consider +MA to be a valid choice : as a first skill ? After MB (which I usually take as first skill) ? After guard ?
NB : I often play on Cyanide's BB2, where the mvp is attributed 100% randomly. |

Yes, unless the first skill. Then mighty blow wins. |

Yes. Combine with break tackle for awesome blitziness. |

Doesnt need to be cage breaking, but you want your tgs where they need to be. And if you skill bt early anyways to do that then mv is great |

I will offer an alternate take from my mentor and offer these two as examples:
Brandone “Ark o' Da Khovenant†Bulsworth and Gabe "Lizard" Khing
Brandone breaks cages better than Ramtut, and that is certainly a reason to get Ramtut. So cage breaking is legit. Some might not want to try, but it's legit. A reason to take MA+?!?... probably not, though.
But back to MA+ and it's merits... granted Gabe is a special case, but the MA+ helps recover when he is down from the Diving Tackle. It also helps him gets places he normally would have to GFI. MA+ is always an option for someone you need to move. And you don't have to move them much, but Tombers need to move.
That being said - MA+ is not as important as other standard skills. Given the choice, I think I would much rather have a Tomber with Stand Firm, Guard and Mighty Blow than one with MA+ and two of those three. But MA+ later in the progression is definitely worth considering. |
