Hello, I'm playing a game where I used the Zap! spell on Bomber Dribblesnot.
When he turned into a frog he lost the Loner skill.
Is that right or is it a bug?
Thanks for attention. |

Rules as written, yes - the frog profile is defined on p94 of the rulebook and doesn't state anything different for Star Players than any other player |

I see. Illogical, but no surprise, considering the general level of the rules.

Yes, he lost the ability to throw bombs (I cast Zap! with that purpose).
As an aside, it's really annoying to face Bomber every game just because he's underpriced and the Inducements are worked out in a silly way in BB2020. |

Just max out on Disturbing Presence / take some elves with Nerves of Steel and Diving Catch, right? Or wait until Bomber fumbles and removes 50k from the pitch |

Although I have Disturbing Presence, my EU Elves don't have it and there is no room for another Catcher on the roster. With the random MVP I barely can skill up and keep alive one Catcher, let alone 2.
Moreover, even when I had 2 Catchers, the bomb was not always intercepted. I wanted to be sure before throwing away the game due to a good bomb throw, so I used the Wizard.
The real issue is that Bomber is underpriced. He should cost 70k, at least, but I'm digressing. |
