Web 3 - 3 Catchers in the Rye

Another brutal game, first Catcher in the Rye's fans got the ref and fouling began on both sides...then in the second half, twice injury time came up - making the second half actually 10 turns long. Our rat ogre only lasted one turn before being fouled out of the game, but he did inflict a perm injury that allowed him to level up.

It was a well-fought battle on both sides, it is fitting that it ended in a draw since either side could have easily won with just a bit more luck.

Only Boys Need Block 1 - 3 Web

Web took the opening kickoff, and their Gutter Runner scampered in for a quick score as the Rat Ogre began thinning the ranks of the Amazons. On the ensuing kickoff, a blitz enabled the Skaven to quickly retrieve the ball, resulting in a 2-0 lead at halftime. After the Amazons scored on the opening kickoff of the second half, they played aggressively to try to get the ball back and tie the game up. But the risk failed to pay off, with the Skaven taking it in for a 3rd TD. This was also a quite brutal game, with each side maxing their CAS points and 4 players coming out with serious injuries (3 mng's and a n).

Well... The glorious (and very clean) team Stainless got of to an interesting, albeit very unpleasent, start against Azure's mighty Skaven team Web

With no less than 8 casualties (unfortunatly 7 of them against Stainless) the game was nothing if not bloody, it was an interesting game and Stainless handled themselves well, in the end however the carnage proved to much for the poor Automysophobic Elfs, and the 3-1 Skaven victory was fully deserved.

Next, what was left of Stainless set out to find a recovery match. The choice fell on a chainsaw less FC Chainsaw. this game turned out to be just as interesting, and a lot less bloody (witch was kindda the point), it was very even throughout the game, but some handy gobling moves in the end setled the victory for FC Chainsaw.

Two losses for Stainless, and almost back to square one with eleven players, and two nigglin injuries. Oh well... Lucky that the tourny is just beginning.

Not sure what the cause was - but this game was filled with blood...and most of it was elf blood. Three elves were killed - apothecary failing to save any of them...two of the kills by linerats and the third by a gutter runner just trying to strip the ball. An utterly brutal game that saw the spirit of the elves never falter even as their teams fell apart.

My thanks to RealMadns - a very good sport even as his player with dodge rolls snake eyes and gets badly hurt on a dodge. His sportsmanship made the game very fun, although painful to watch. Well played right to the end!

Web 1 - 0 Humans Suck Without Blitzers

The humans came to play and brought an attitude to this match. They managed to foul our our rat ogre early in the match and for much of the match, they had the upper hand...but they did not finish...just inches away from winning the match, we feel that we certainly ended up stealing a match away from a superior team and coach. Web 5 - 2 NBL Blockheads

This game the luck just was not with the humans and everything the rats did worked out well...the humans fought hard managed to take out a gutter runner late in the game which helps to weaken the rat team greatly giving the humans a chance to grab some late scores.

Overall, it was a well-played and good game.

Web 3 - 2 Dodgus Maximus

These girls came to play! The Bashy girls hit us constantly and the rats broke down. Apothecary saved one - but our last gutter runner suffered a niggling and 4 players will be missing the next game! The injuries added up and the amazons raced back from a 3-1 deficit to cut it to 3-2 with 2 turns to go...then a stumble by the rats gave them the ball at the goalline...but a trip going into the endzone preserved the win for the rats. A painful victory, but we managed some measure of revenge on the preseason defeat we suffered by their hands.

Well played! We appreciated the game and the lessons learned!

Web 3 - 1 Only Boys Need Block

Web entered the game with only 9 healthy players, but fortunately Wasp fought off his niggling injury so we could field 10 players. Early in the game, our rats fought very well - several early KOs and a badly hurt helped to even the odds on the pitch and our newly recruited gutter runner, Stinky, in his first game scored the first TD. On the next kickoff, the game truly turned...there was plenty of time and an amazon score could easily send the game into the second half tied...but the biggest break of game came when the rats jumped off the LOS in a blitz. Stinky ran around the amazons and caught the ball expertly kicked by Wasp...enough rats got around to tie up and protect...it was only a matter of time, with ball and position, Stinky scored again and it ended up 2-0 at half time.

The second half the amazons came on strong, Komodo Dragon though slipped past and was 1 dodge away from completing an amazing play that would have put Web up 3-0...instead the amazons never say die attitude paid off in a near coast to coast play that scored a TD to bring it to 2-1. On the next kickoff, perfect defense gave the amazons a chance, but they had to press...and got some unlucky breaks on the blocks they really needed and as a result, Stink scored again to seal the game.

Overall, a fun and excellently played game - thanks!

Dogdus Maximus 0 - 2 Only Boys Need Block

In this match of "hot girl-on-girl action" (as PV called it), the girls of OBNB finally broke their streak of miserable luck. Thanks to their brutish ST5 thrower, plenty of Tackle, and some good luck from Nuffle, they bashed their way through the lovely ladies of Dodgus Maximus for two scores and maxed out their CAS points as well.

Bugger All made their debut after replacing Catandy's Gobbo Blockno in the Quadrus in this game vs therisaball's NBL Blockheads. It was a decent game, but rife with injury for the grot team. Three BH's and one death as well as a certain chainsaw vigilante KOing himself on a frenzy blitz bothdown result made this game memorable. A failed TTM landing with reroll cinched it for the opposition.

Bugger All 2 - 0 Catchers in the Rye

Bugger All pulls off their first win in this game with the help of Ripper Balgrot. A Turn-0 blitz gets a goblin in position to catch the kickoff. The Catchers were then able to knock the poor grot down, but then Ripper returned the favor and the Buggers regained possession. Careful movement towards the endzone resulted in the Buggers first score and five players to oppose them in the next half. From then on it was a simple task to get the ball to the endzone for a second goal.

Thanks for the game Composer99. Better luck with the rest of your games.

Corrupted Proelves have odd karma, 2 wins and 3 losses in Quadrus Eradicus on average we've made 2 cas and recived 3 cas (of which 2 are SIs)

After the questionable start, Stainless has bounced back with an amazing 6 games no loss streak. Only one draw against NBL Blockheads mares the result list.

Stainless is now 2nd in Quadrus Eradicus, and Web better start to get nervous Smile

Another glorious victory for Stainless!

The Clean Room Rats started the game with some sneaky trickery, that resulted in half of Stainless's faithfull fans missing the game, also at least one of the rats were seen wearing knuckle dusters.

This didnt help the poor rats much though, some early casualties, and the unfortunate* death of CRR's rat ogre, pretty much decided the game from the start.

Clean Room Rats 3 - 1 Bugger All

Bugger All recruited Bomber Dribblesnot for this game, but the rats seemed to catch and return the explosives with ease. The death of our troll leaves us in somewhat of a desperate predicament for future games. With only eleven players left, will Bugger All save their 80K for another troll or invest in more fodder?
