The first match of the Nux Champions League 2 has been played, and it was a doozy. With three norse players missing the game, the Dinos had a 28ST advantage over Team Gaul. Despite a fairly regulation two-turn score from the opening kick-off, I was sure I was going to lose all game. Nuffle seemed to hate me, Willard73 was having great success at his caging strategy, and he was even getting away with some fouling. He scored rather easily halfway through the first half, but a two-turn riot ended any chance I had of leading at half time. My star catcher got badly hurt, and late in the second half at 1-1 I rolled three doubleskulls in two turns, and things were looking rough. The ballcarrying skink inexplicably made a lone mad dash for the end zone, leaving him exposed on his own, and Team Gaul rushed to meet him. The Norse blitzer failed to bring him down, however, and it was still looking good for the lizards. However, Willard73 chose this moment to roll a doubleskull, without a reroll left. The ballcarrying skink was duly upended, the ball was dropped by a norseman, but the crowd must have contained some Gaul supporters for they flung it far into the Dino's half. On turn 7, a norse lino managed to dodge away to pick up the ball, but fell over as he was going for it, wasting the last of the Gallic rerolls on yet another snake eyes. Thankfully, the vital pickup by Fulliautomatix succeeded, and the lone blitzing Dino could only push the ballcarrying norseman closer to the line, allowing him to score on the last turn of the game to wrap up the win.

Okay folks,
The Champion league has finished their first round... and the MVP nominees are as follows.
1- Chaos Scooters: #9 Baby[Scooter]- 11 pts
2- Team Gaul: #1 Asterix- 8 pts
3- Women From Poor Rural Areas: #4 Ojaswini- 8 pts
4-Gralhk's Fellowship: #12 Fritz Bugenhiem- 5 pts

For those of you wondering how the MVP system works... each game played will yield 1 MVP Nominee. The player who was awarded a game MVP, and scored the most SPP's that game, will become an MVP nominee. In case of a tie, the nominee will go to the player on the winning team. The nominee will be awarded points equal to however many SPP's they earned that game. At the end of the Season, the nominee with the most accumulated points will become the MVP of the season. There will be an MVP for each division. So hit hard, and hit often!

Well, seems my ladies are doing better than I expected, they won their second match too, but did take a few injuries while at it. Well, now it's just about getting ready to face some norse next. I just hope that khemri team softens them up a little for me.

Just a quickie, I'm away from my beloved machine for about 3 weeks.

Dunno what you wanna do with the games I due to play in this period, either default win or if the opponents dont mind I will be able to play them from the 24th january onwards.

Anyway I've been well beaten my first two games so no loss either way Smile

Are we playing with handicap rules in effect?

I would like us to because this helps weaker teams have a chance Smile

I love this tourney myself. Sucks having to sit at round 4 though while a few others are no where to be found.

Yes we are, there are no oppertunity not to. It's not an option unfortunately. The program can't run games without the handicap-system
