thank you

welcome Back!

if you have just joined us. todays game so far has been everything we said it would be. The Sinners have put the first point on the board.

Sam you siad at the begining of the game that Madness was going to have to contain the Sinners werewolf. and they have so far failed to do that.

that is right fred the sinners sealed off Madness's ghoul Rushers. without them there is no stopping #3

well as they line up for the kickoff we will see if Madness has an answer.

The madness top scorer # 13 nightmare has recovered from that horendous hit and is back out on the field.

the kick is off

#13 nightmare signals the catch.

OhH!! he drops it.

he must still be feeling the effects of the last hit.

the Sinners line is winning the battle of field postion.

but that is a short victory Sam.

#3 Terror hits #8 Corporal Drazin square in the chest.

is that rib bones i see ?

yes sam #8 has been badly hurt. the refs are talking him off the field now.

#13 nightmare gets the ball and dashes for the line.

he slippes on the field!!!

the ball comes out and thru the legs of #7 Rot and into the hands of #5 screamer.

#9 sergeant Tarl hits # 12 Decayed.

he is not getting up?

the crowd is on its feet.

the field cleric signels unlife.

the crowd boo's

well Sam they did come for blood.

56,000 humaniods wanting blood is a scary thing Fred.

yes it is sam. back to the game.

#4 Darkness knocks #1 Commander Igar into the sidelines. #5 Screamer Blitzs

#1 is going into the crowd. But Screamer slips on the field oh he hits hard.

My god he has knocked himself out.

That has got to be getting to the head coach of the Madness.

yep sam i wouldnt be surprised of they came out at half time with nails driven thru their feet to get better traction.

#3 Sergeant Barich Really takes it to #3 Terror.

that hit really rung his bell.

The crowd cheers at the blood coming from the helmet of Terror.

the line Cleric signels a concussion

and a regeneration

boy Fred it is hard to keep a good undead down.

#1 Power throws #16 Hepatitis into the crowd.

look at how fast the fans get out of the way. #16 slamms into the wooden benches.

well no one is going to be sitting there for a long time.

why not Fred?

well becuase no one wants to catch hepatitis

Sam *falls off chair*

#13 Nightmare picks up the ball. but he cant hold onto it.

#7 Rot reaches out.

he has it!!

Nightmare has been just awful at ball handling today.

Maybe he should take lessons from the Zombie linemen.

#12 Major Marquand hits #7 knocking him to the pitch. the ball is again loose on the field.

#13 nightmare picks the ball up and makes his way to the endzone.

but it is to little to late. the half is over.

Time for the second half.

lets get straight to the action folks.

the Madness is set ti kick off.

a high fly ball straight into midfield.

#3 Sergeant Barick Starts it off with a massive hit on #9 Foul

hes gonna be a while coming out of that one.

#4 Corporal Avarik Is blitzing

but he slipps and falls before reaching his target.

things are starting to go the Deads way.

#2 Intimadator Pounds #9 Sergeant Tarl

that hit has taken that Zombie right out of the play.

The deads line is really taken it to the Sinners.

#7 Sergeant Irol hits #11 Blind hard.

Blind is gonna be donw there on the ground for a while from that hit.

I hear ya Sam

#3 Sergeant Barich Takes up the lead block as he hits #4 Darkness.

that hit has knocked the wight out.

The sinners are now really starting to get a hold of the line and taking back some of the field they had lost.

#1 Commander Igar makes a grab for the ball

But he cant hold onto it

The ball bounces off #11 Blind who is still on the ground for that last hit.

#13 Nightmare tries to take advantage of the Commanders fumbbl.

he blitzes #2 Colonal Dyer he knocks him out of the way and leaps for the ball.

Colonal Dyer catches the end of Nightmares foot.

Ohh the ghoul lands hard on his head!!

he is not getting up

he is hurt bad.

They are carrying him off the field now.

I beleive he is done for the day Fred.

I agree Sam not a big loss though has not been much of a factor to much tonight.

oh i dissagree Fred he has really helped in the Madness being behind right now.

#1 Commander Igar finally gets the ball.

And he passes to #2 Colonal Dyer

its Complete!!

Dyer starts upfield.

Oh he is cut off by a blitz from #9 Foul

Dyer is on the ground and the ball is once again on the ground

#3 Terror is Racing Across the field

he is heading Straight for #3 Sergeant Barich, they hit head on!

Barich is down!

He's NOT Getting Up!!!

There was the answer the Madness was looking for.

that is a very Harsh blow to the Sinners.

Now lets see if the Madness can capitalize on this.

Commander Igar Gets the ball again.

#2 Power Slamms #7 Sergeant Irol again.

that is the second time he has taken such a crippling hit from Power.

I dont know how many more hits that Zombie can take.

#1 Commander Igar Passes The ball yet again.

it is complete to #2 Colonal Dyer.

didnt think i would see they day an undead team would be a passing team.

Those two really work in sinc with eachother.

#3 Terror Gets Away from #4 Corporal Avrick and blitzes #2 Colonal Dyer.

Dayer Goes Down!.

Terror gets the ball and heads for the end Zone

only two players in front of him.

One being #1 Commander Igar.

#10 Slime # 12 Decayed and #7 Rot has takne on the Two tacklers.

# 8 Wasted Shoves #6 Sergeant Elsek into the Crowd

That really opened up the hole.

Commander Igar fights to get Up

Dyer blitzs to catch Terror but Runs into #2 Rot

Rot Stands Firm and Dyer goes back down.

terror has broken out he is gonna score!!

MY GOD!!

he trips at the goal line!!!

NO wait he catches himself he is not down.

he stumbles over the line!!!

HE CANT STAY ON HIS FEET!!!!

he couldnt hold on to the ball!!!

THE SINNERS WIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

well folks i have see enough to know that i have seen to much

you said it Sam.

well once again the Madness has been left with the taste of victory. what is it gonna take for them.

this is Fred

And Sam

saying good night

Saints Diseases 2 - 1 Dark Flames of Hashut

http://fumbbl.com/FUMBBL.php?page=match&id=226241

Our plan is proceeding apace. A few strategic losses to lull the opposition into a false sense of security and then, when the time is right, we will strike....

For one brief, shining moment I thought we had this one. It wasn't certain, but we seemed to at least have a good chance. All of his players were tied up in a pile with mine and there was an open corridor down the bottom of the field. All my Bull Centaur had to do was block away one player and the Hobgoblin could make a run for it. The Bull Centaur rolls double skull/pows, knocking his target out but knocking himself down as well. From there everything just fell apart, the casulties continued to roll in and I'm just proud that we managed to force the game into overtime and hold the Diseases off from scoring as long as we did with 5 men against their ten.

Saints and Sinners League -- Round 2

They Can't Spell, But They Can Play Bloodbowl
The Hammers of Ligth are burning up the records chart. For the second week in a row they set the record for individual SPP's earned in a match, although ultimately Good Wood managed to top them out and claim the record for themselves. The Hammers' Runner, Torin edged out the Villanous Sinners' Sergeant Barich for the most TDs scored (that's right you Elves, a Dwarf holds the record for most TDs scored) and the Longbeard Lergosh (along with Saints Diseases Beast, Croup) has tied Sergeant Barich for most casulties inflicted. The Hammers & Spac'd Out took the combined TD record and the Hammers beat their old record for individual TDs scored in a match and now share it with Good Wood.

Stunty Madness!!!
Both of our stunty teams won their games this round and the fans are going wild. And rewarding them richly. Darkest o t Hillside Thickets and the Norsca Bloodletters set a new record for the highest combined purse for a match and then, just as quickly, Slave Uprising and the Evil Kings of the Dark Tombs topped it, with Slave Uprising snatching the record for highest individual purse at 100k. If this keeps up the stunties may be playing each other at the top of their lists when the cross-division games are played.

The Big Bad Wolf
Sergeant Barich, of the Villanous Sinners, continues to dominate the lists with records in four separate lists (SPP/COST/TD/CAS). The Sergeant had better watch his back though, as there are a number of players close on his heels, each with records in three lists: Torin of the Hammers of Ligth, Paul of Johnny Be Good, Lawrence of Still the Prettiest, Trip Taker of Spac'd Out, Ursula of Good Wood (all on the SPP/COST/TD lists) and Lugdush of the Udûn Raiders who is on the SPP/TD/IT lists and is the league's first interceptor.

Up and Comers
After missing their first game, Johnny Be Good surged into the records, winning their match and acheiving positions on four lists (SPP/COST/TD/COMP). Not to be outdone, The Norsca Bloodletters mark their first game in the league by joining the lists for most combined casulties, setting a new record for most individual casulties scored in a single match (though this was ultimately broken by the Saints Diseases), and setting a new record for individual and combined deaths in a match.

Bring Out Your Dead
As was mentioned above, the Norsca Bloodletters set a new record for deaths inflicted in a single match, killing two Halflings from Darkest o t Hillside Thickets though it could not secure them the win. There were five deaths in the league this week, ten in total.

Everybody Loves A Winner
After two rounds, we have seven teams with a 2-0 record: The Blind Butchers of Lamashtu, Christian Warriors, Hammers of Ligth, Slave Uprising, Still the Prettiest, Udûn Raiders and Villanous Sinners. Congratulations guys!

Long Live the King
In one of those rare instances where the luck-meter may even have been accurate (the game ended in a 4-0 blowout), Hael's Hunt, at 35%, has seized the highly coveted record for the worst luck score in the league. We are assured that this would have been even lower had there not been a client disconnect and subsequent resetting of the luck meter. Better luck next time guys. (Note: Hael's Hunt also holds the record for best luck, in a game they lost to Christian Warriors -- go figure....)

Overtime
I seem to possess the only team that goes into overtime (if this isn't true make sure that you inform me when your game goes into overtime so I can award the appropriate league points). Oh well, at least I'm getting points for losing....

Round 3 has begun. The deadline for playing these games is Feb 13.

Dead Madness,

We have been forged in the fires of adversity and our victory will be all the sweeter for coming from behind to acheive it. Those who are merely returned to their graves will be the lucky ones....

Had a notion, actually thought about it before the season started but wasn't sure how to implement it, and thought I'd run it by you guys and see what you thought.

The idea was to introduce commissioner's bounties on certain players, I was thinking of choosing one of the records lists and rotating it each week for the pool of players. You'd get one league point (the only reward I can think of that I have the power to give) for seriously injuring or killing (maybe two for killing) one of these players and another if the apothecary (or regen) didn't save them; fouls, crowd pushes and wizards would count, kick-off events would not. I probably wouldn't start this until after the cross-over games as the record lists should have a good number of entries by then. It's unlikely (in fact it's impossible) that everyone would have a shot at a bounty every round but over time it would hopefully even out.

Perhaps we could also allow a team to set a limited number (one?) of bounties during the season and allow them to set the conditions for the bounty within certain limits; bounties would be payed out of the team's pool of league points. These bounties would persist until collected and would have to have some kind of role-play justification (perhaps you want that werewolf offed who took out five of your players, perhaps we'd even allow someone to take out a contract on that Beast of Nurgle before their team has to face it....)

If you have any thoughts about this, post them here and we can refine this idea or maybe we'll come to the conclusion that it's not something we want to introduce to the league. After round 3 is over we can vote on it.
