I install 7.0 and the prog runs fine. When I install 7.3a and now 7.3b the prog no longer works properly.
I (A) unzip 7.0 into D:/bbowl, (B) then unzip the patch into the same directory and copy over. Yes I have Java.
Frustration mounting.

For now, do not use 7.3b, there are several reports of people that cannot start games with it. Stick to 7.3, please.

Skijuinkie, I noticed when I instaled 7.3b that the client automatically got set to spanish. Is this some kind of mistake or bug or is it intentional? If so, could it be set to english by default and give an option to change it? I for myself am used since always to english terms for bloodbowl and i don't wanna be forced to use silly (for me) spanish terms =) |

right now it should default to the language your OS is set to. i do intend to add a way to change this in the options but didn't do that yet. the main game is still untranslated and should still be in english.
doug -
hmmm...i'm suprised at that. i was thinking perhaps you were using a language that i didn't have a tranlation for and it locked up. Can you describe what happens when you try to run 7.3x? |

Sure can.
When I run 7 or 7.3 the "Client Window" opens up. When I run 7.3x although I get the "Field" screen I don't get the "Client Window", so I can't, well I can't do anything actually.

Next problem. Why does the Join Game window opened when I click "Play" always try to send the file "bbowl.php"? Doesn't interefere with play whether I d/l it or not.

Okay I should have asked this as well. Give me all the details you can about your computer.
OS (Windows XP, Linux, mac os?)
Plus whatever else you know about it.
And please give this a try for me. Run a 7.3x version like this. Don't forget to let me know which 7.3x you try.
In a dos window (or whatever console is available for your os) get to your install dir (like "c:\bbowl") and run the game by typing this in:
java -Duser.language=en -jar bbowl.jar
If there are errors they will show up in the dos window. Post those error here, or post to let me know if it runs okay like this. |
