What the NUFFLE is going on around this place? Can no one stop the Rata Blanca and their gutter runners from the 6th plane of hell?

Well Iam sitting at the bar, on my 7th pint of bugmans since the end of the match, and wondering how in the heck Iam going to tell my wife I just lost a second mortgage payment. So in my druken stupor I have found the solution...Iam now a Brotherhood fan and hope they can win their second round match and meet up with the Rata in the semi final's....I want blood and lots of it. Nothing would make me feel better than watching the chaos thugs chew up and spit out a bunch of rats and then punt their decapitated skulls into the upper deck.
SO if that match up happens I will just have to double down on the mortgage payment bet to get back to even.
Oh I dont want to go home.

Heheh sorry to disappoint! 
With those runners just refusing to leave the pitch permanently despite tackle mb blitzes ( and a foul or 2) it was tricky to stop for sure!
Figured I had it won when his main OTSer got stunned by a rock in last turn 2nd half, but that star proved otherwise!
One of my funniest games so far on fumbbl I think with many twists and turns.
Your prediction was pretty close but hard to steal the ball when they OTSed again when recieving in OT |

It was a fun game and i think i did not deserve to win this. Had already given up (normally i always try but lots of RL stuff to do at the moment) and then this crazy 1 dice pow with the ball going out of bounds, thrown near my GRs.... server crash.... i did not mind cause i thoguht my cause was lost anyway.... new desperation blitz, crazy scatter over my blitzer in range for my gutter....
I will write a match report next week when RL is bit less demanding.... and Milford, keep cheering for the brotherhood (or lifrigs), i really begin to believe the more you think the other team will make it the better dice in get.

Breaking news!!!
Pro Elf Fan Rebellion
Well It took 3 days since the Soaring Hawks and the Kopite Kings were bumped from the UI for the fan base of both teams to come unglued...Riots have taken place and those fans are down right nasty.
At the Soaring Hawks HQ today around 500 hooligan fans showed up really upset and they want some heads. Those two OTS they gave up at the end of regulation and the start of OT has sent the fans over the top. The defense of the Hawks was down right putrid and the tackling, well they dont know how to do that. The fans place the blame squarly on the defensive coordinator and demanded his head today. Well the Hawks held out for a few hours but once the HQ was set on fire they unlocked the door and promptly shoved the D coordinator out the door as a offering to the crowd. I wont go into details but his dead body is still dangling from a tree outside of town as a warning to the new D Coordinator to shore up the OTS defense.
Down at the Kings HQ the same scene unfolded as the fans wanted answers for their defeat. After some persuasive arguments from the Kings they convinced the mob that it was all the wizards fault. During the second half the Kings were getting beat down hard but on turn 4 it was all or nothing. They had good postion and a great shot to pull out the victory but the balance of the game was held by their wizard. He rose up from the crowd to throw a fireball spell and open up the Brotherhoods attack.
He stood up raised his wand...I still dont know if this was a cruel joke, an honest mistake or the most pitiful fireball spell ever in the history of Blood Bowl. The wizard raised his wand and it turned out to be a roman candle. The wizards 6 year old son had replaced dads wand out just hours before the match and the old miser did not realize it.
So as he cast the spell a lone firework streaked through the sky and then it turned out to be a dud firework at that and it landed in the middle of the Brotherhood and just started a lame grass fire. Needless to say the Kings chances were sunk and they got run off the pitch with one lone defender standing at the end of the half. A golden shot to steal the win ends with a dud roman candle fireball.
So the enraged fans surrounded the wizard in his tower for over an hour throwing rotten eggs and vegtables at the tower. Well the wizard finally had enough and stood on the roof of his tower and told the crowd below to get the hell out of here or he would show them whats up. Well the crowd still in a frenzy pitch taunted him and wondered if his roman candle fireball would even reach the ground....SO the wizard called on the winds of magic and cast a conflaguraton of doom that was double enchanced with irresitable force and procced to engulf the peasentry. Over half of them were killed out right and a quarter of them were burned badly...Needless to say the crowd ran like hell and some of them even more hacked off that the wizard did not cast that spell in the game when it was in the balance.
Well todays events were dramatic and eventful and just shows us that pro elf fans take their Blood Bowl really serious. |

Well the big show down in the semi final is set and ready. This should be a fun match no matter how it breaks down. Either we see the team of destiny, Rata Blanca, some how and some way keep going or they get reduced to kibble bits for our enjoyment. That is what I call a win/win for the specs.

 Extraordinary Brotherhood
Well the Rata come into the match once again getting huge inducement money...this time they get to play with 700,000+ GOLD!!!!! these guys have been swimming in the gold for the last few rounds. They are down a blitzer for the match but that is of no concern. It is once again about two things...can the Gutters get up and running and keep running and keep the rats in the match...AND can the Horned One once again delvier a gift or two for his dedicated followers. Both have to happen in this match for the Rata to continue in the UI.
Well the Brotherhood had a scare last match but that wizard fizzled and they walked in the win. The game plan is simple...Kill, kill some more and then score. Easier said than done but the Brotherhood are en fuego right now. They have that loving feeling back and should have little problems with the rats. Track down and kill the gutters and the game is in the bag.
Rata's run ends here...and it will be a bloody end. The Brotherhood set up all the rat traps and bring the extermination pain to the pitch. Brotherhood stall out the 2-1 win and advance to the championship match. |

No offence Aliaba but I am rooting for the rats in this one. Should I some how pull off the same luck as ratablanca and reach the final I rather play rats after they played the brotherhood than play the brotherhood after they played rats! |

Well FUMBBL fans I sat in on the open fourm meeting today held by Lord PurpleChest on the state of the game and the upcoming major schedule.
The big issue that came up is that the GLT competition committe is deeply concerned over the amount of inducement money it is projecting to have to pay out for the upcoming tourney. The first two tournies are running into defecits because of the total amount of money having to be shelled out. TV diffrence caps and TV minimums was heavily debated...pro and con. Of course in the grand tradition of such things the issues were "tabled" until calmer heads could look into the issue.
Also the committe for stunty competition issued an appeal for an increase in inducement money for all stunty teams in majors. They feel that if bonus money was offered that stunties would have a larger presence in majors. Of course in some quarters this is widely applauded due to the increase in SPP from CAS.
A group of pro elves showed up and say they have video evidence that the Kings last match was riged and that the supposed wizard they hired from the local Blood Bowl wizards guild was actually a fake, planted by Rata Blanca and was nothing more than a street vendor dressed up as a wizard...after viewing the scratching, dark and no audio replay their case was thrown out.
A few more issues were discussed and then the doors blew open and 12 300+ men "streaked" the meeting and ran out the other door. They were screaming that Blood Bowl should be pure and down with all non human races. Needless to say the issues that they raised was received with deaf ears as everyone shielded their eyes and looked away as those monstrosities strode through the room. I have to say I will never be the same as one of them was very "aroused" during his streak and that vision will haunt me to the grave.
Of course during this entire meeting PC sat there with a stone face and little reaction was issued from him. He looked like a man who would rather be riding to the northern wastes than being here listening to these lame complaints. |
