Well the main draw is set and the tourney is allready under way. Stand Free has allready won the first match of the draw and they just pummelled, booted, knees to the groin and the allways popular pinky twisted the High elves into the CAS boxes all game long...and then decided to take it to OT to delvier some more CAS.
This should be a lot of fun. The bashers and ballers got an even distribution on the draw so we should see a lot of bash V ball in the first couple rounds.
Humanity got a good draw to start out...can they capitilize on this and possibly meet up in the finals?
Predictions for all the rest of the matches coming up later today...Iam at work so it aint going to happen until tonight.
This is going to be a great main draw I think, looking at the match ups.
**side note**
I was going to do all 8 predictions last night but I just could not get away from the TV as I watched the Dallas Mavericks dismantle the Heat in the last 6 minutes of game #2 and then went on a drunken celebration until 2 AM. |

Well FUMBBl fans we have a full slate of UI action getting set to kick off tonight, 3 games in total. lot of big name teams and coaches will be locking horns on the grid iron to advance one round closer to UI championship.
 Ultimate Mr men
VS
 Rata Blanca
The Mr. Men are guided by PeteW, winner of 3 Major Champrionships, so coaching will not be an issue. The Mr. Men are your typical DE team that is really nice from top to bottom. They have no major holes to exploit. They are going to give the rats are really tough match in this one. Just need to find a way to keep the gutter runners in check and the Mr. Men will be on their way for another run at a major's title.
The Rata crew is once again looking up at the compteition and on paper they are huge underdogs. They will be getting 500,000 + in inducement money to help out. That could be the ticket to pulling off the upset. The Gutters need to carry the day and on defense they need to somehow find a way to get one Turn Over and convert it into a score to get the upperhand.
Once again Iam looking at this match and wondering how in the heck the Rata crew has a chance, usually they end up pulling the upset and Iam left scraching my head.
BUT NOT IN THIS ONE!!!!! Mr. Men are to veteran of a team and with the steady hand from their skipper they will not let this "easy" match get out of hand.
Mr. Men win this one hands down by the start of turn 10... 3-1 and the DE's continue their march to glory.

 Extraordinary Brotherhood
VS
 Cast of Meta Barons
The Brotherhood are once again on the cusp of greatness but run across a stout DE team. For the Brotherhood this match is all about attitude..Can they once again recapture the old glories and translate that onto the pitch. Iam talking about a good old fashion pummiling, CAS boxes overflowing, elves running for the hills and good old fashion NUFFLE smack down. That is the totallity of the gameplan, dont lay the smack, go home.
The Meta Barons are another of those really nice DE teams that can ball, bash and dodge all over the place. This is really simple in theory. Out ball the chaos scumm, stay ahead of the CAS count and just rip the thugs to piecese with AG and style.
This should be an excellent match up. We got two really nice teams and two contrasting styles going head to head.
This really is a toss up match. But I think the Brotherhood have rekindled that fire and will go on a terror in this match. Brotherhood hold on tight in the end to secure the 2-1 win.

 Bello Callico
VS
 Six Hooves Under
Well the Callico crew is a nice orc team. They are well balanced for orcs and should be able to hold on this match. They will be down a BoB so their LOS defense is a little depleted. Find a way to control and stomp down on the bulls and they should be able to control this match. A few boots on the Hobs will help out if they shortman the CD's.
The Hooves come into this match also really balanced. They lack the killer Bulls and no +AG upgrades so it will be interesting to see how they approach this match. They can attempt to ball it with the Bulls and risk the TO's or just stand in the middle of the pitch and grind it out. Both options could work but some risk involved.
Another toss up match. This one should also be very exciting to watch.
In the end the Bulls dont disapoint and they carry the day for the six hooves. They pull this one out late in the second half on a Turn over and win it 2-1. |

What a night of Blood Bowl action FUMBBL fans. It was a glorious night of death, destruction, blood, a little bowl, some blitzes and a upset of titanic proportions.
Six Hooves under did not disapoint and took the victory in a hard fought match. It went down to the wire as the CD's punch in the game winner late.
The Brotherhood clears the pitch and stacks the CAS boxes full of elves. It was a glorious display of power and tenacity.
Rata Blanca some how pulls their rat tails out of the frying pan once again and shocks the FUMBBL universe with a huge upset of the Mr. Men. Going into the match it looked like a david V goliath match up. And in the end it was not the inducements that made the diffrence but rat under handed tactics. Stealing a playbook with all the Mr. Mens snap counts pays off as they get 2 blitzes in the second half to blow the game wide open and send the Mr. Men packing from the UI. |

This just in...we had a late night match take place as the Pipiolines manage to Elf ball their way past the Diablos. This was a upset in my mind as I had the Diablos a favorite in this match up with those hellspawn Bulls they have. The Woodies hung on in the end and manage to get the game winner under manned and running for their lives...typical elves.
SO the final 8 are set. It should be another round of exciting blood bowl as we head to the final 4 of the UI. |

Well this round has 4 really fun matches. Who has what it takes to dig deep and some how battle their way into the final 4? The weak will be culled from the UI herd.
I also expect a lot of body bags this round. I have a feeling that NUFFLE is not pleased with the lack of blood so far. SO expect a lot of cracking bones and possibly a tombstone match for our enjoyment.
 Black Album
VS
 Stand Free
Black Album comes into the match down a blitzer but they are still looking good. Another really nice DE team that should be able to out elf ball the woodies and bring a little pain to boot. Play it close to the vest, dont get fancy and they will be ok in this one. It would not hurt if they can stiffen up the D a little and get a turnover for a score the other way to loosen the game up a little.
Stand Free are going to be hard pressed in this one. The Darkies out class them but woodies allways have their speed to help them out. Once again play it close to the vest and dont turn over the ball on offense. A swarming defense and high pressure to get the turnover will be the order of the game. All out assault to get an early TO and go up on the score board.
Black Album in the end will hang on for dear life and take this one to OT when they get the kick off and seal it early in sudden death OT. They take the win 3-2.

 Pipiolines
VS
Six Hooves Under
Well the Pipiolines roll in with their wheelchairs and they are still faster than the the CD's! They should be able to elf ball the hooves into the pitch and score at will. Just stay clean on the LOS and do their best to limit the shots they take should be the order of the match. IF they manage to control the CAS against they will walk in this match as their speed and AG is to much for the CD's to handle.
The Hooves are going to be hard pressed. They are getting some nice inducement money so that will help them out. Expect a roaming wizard to be in attendance for this match. The Hooves have to some how get this match turned into a grind fest were they can lay into the elves. That is easier said than done and if they cant manage that and end up chasing all match it will be over. Above all they cannot turn the ball over on offense. If they turn it over the game will be lost.
Pipiolines is just to agile and fast for the hooves to overcome. They elf ball their way past the bulls and take this one 3-1.

 Soaring hawks
VS
Rata Blanca
Well the hawks are a really nice crew of Pro Elves and they have the skill and ag to blow by the rats. Someone needs to find a way to handle the gutters and then pound them into the pitch. On offense the hawks should have no problems moving the ball and scoring. They have to find a way to get one defensive stand. Just one and they will be able to win this match.
Rata once again comes in getting big inducement money. So expect the wizard to play his part once again. That plan is the same for Rata....get the gutters up and running, run some more, score at will, hang on for dear life on defense and hope for some thing good to happen to take advantage of.
This one is going to be a back and forth high scoring affair that comes down to ever has the ball last. This one is going to be a classic.
Hawks hang on in OT and some how pull it out for the win after losing the coin flip. NUFFLE intervenes and robs the Rata of the OT OTS chance and the hawks pounce on their fortunes and take the win. 4-3 in OT.

Lifrig-Pool's Kopite Kings
The Brotherhood is rolling now and they are in a killing frenzy...And just what Khorne ordered..a bunch of squishey, no armor and weak Pro Elves. The Brotherhood just needs to tee off in this match. Dont get to loose with the ball and be leery of turnovers. If they get the CAS counter going early this will be another cleared pitch and an easy victory.
The Kopite are in front of the firing squad in this match and no cigaretes. It will get ugly and ugly fast. SO run and run like hell. Banzai charges for the defensive turnovers and hope for the best. IF they can get an early reversal on the brotherhood that might open up the match a little for them as the Brotherhood get more concerned about winning rather than killing.
This will get ugly fast.. The Brotherhood have the swagger back and just decimate the pro elves. I expect they deliver 3 kill shots in this match.
Brotherhood win this one 2-1.. the last scoring coming after sitting on the goalline for 4 turns because the pitch was cleared and they walk into the final 4. |
