Milford waxing lyrical there and deftly dealing with a difficult subject...One feels it may be a displacement activity however. That or he has yet to fully sober up and come to terms with the tragic end to last nights game. |

** Milford from the FC **
Well this morning I staggered out of the "row" when the sun came up. Walked down to the water front. Took a 2 minute piss off the end of the pier into the Reik and washed away the disapointement of the Bessenbruck loss. It is all now floating down the river.
In the end Bessenbruck just could not make enough plays neccesary to win the match, that is the totallity of the post match report.
Humanities Major's throphy once again is elusive. |

** Milford from the FC **
Well Altdorf is buzzing with anticipation of the last semi final match to be played. The tailgate has allready started and it is a carnival like atmosphere out side the stadium. Who will win out with their date with destiny in the FC finals?
Colorful Characters
VS
Ninos de Tzeentch
Colorful ones have the pressure of making it to the finals and also the pressure of winning back to back majors. But this is a veteran team and they thrive under the pressure. They out skill the Pact and just need to play nice and steady. Control the LOS and then start looking to take some scalps. Giving up 400K in inducements will hurt, so need to be leery of any wizards lurking in the stands. I fully expect the Characters to bring the "A" game today and give the Ninos all they can handle.
Ninos have a up hill climb in this one. But this is a saavy crew of pact players. They might have a lot of rookies on the team but that does not seem to hurt them. Need to some how find a way to get the CAS counter moving in this one, just find a way. 400K in inducments will help out a lot. It will interesting to see what direction they take with that amount of money.
Colorful ones blow off the LOS and just lay into the pact scumm. By turn 4 the Characters will have this game under their control and ride that to the end. The big question is will the Ninos deliver some parting shots on the CD and cripple their chances in the finals match.
Characters over Ninos 2-1. The one for ninos coming late in the match. |

MASSIVE RIOT OUTSIDE THE STADIUM
Oh my! a massive scrumm just took place outside the stadium. Thousands of fans were tailgating and having a great time and then a mob of humanity showed up. Lead by some cult of Sigmar priests. It seems that the Cult decided was a good time to rabble rouse the mob into a Frenzy. It seems that the Cult has decided that the end of days is looming due to the portent of massive CLPOMB proliferating in the FC. They see this as a dark sign from the Ruinious Powers.
Or it could be that the Cult lost heavy at the Altdorf Book and Casino after Bessenbruck "went out". Rumour has it that coach Neo was scene at the Cults main temple hours before the match. Perception is more powerful than fact, they say. They decided to "knock" some heads to make them feel better about their heavy finacial losses.
The riot has finally simmered down and the party is back on. The early report is that there was 64 RIP's, 117 SI-MNG and 289 BH. Some are wondering if this little event will supress the attendance at the match. I think it will just make the crowd larger. What Blood Bowl fan would want to stay away when you can be apart of the action before and after the match?
Post match security will be at full alert to make sure the Cult does not make another "go" at it after the match is over. |

FUMBBL Officials turned into mutants!
Oh my FUMBBL fans this match is just getting stranger by the minute as we get closer to kick off.
Just moments ago in the basement of the stadium that leads to the dug outs FUMBBL officials were attempting to perform sports enhancing drug screening tests. It turns out that the FUMBBL rules committe has decided to perform these tests inorder to prove to the fans that the players are "clean" and that the games are above board. Of course they are random..Just turns out random is before the last semifinal match...who can tell what is random and what is not? right?
Well that did not go so good. I think we need to readress this particular policy. It seems both the Ninos and the Colorful ones had stern objections to any test that screens for warpstone, marks of chaos, mutations and obvious signs of mutation such as horns. Considering both teams failed the test before it even started it would seem obvious that both teams would protest.
So a lawyer appeared to appeal the case on the spot. Well the officals handed him a protest form that was in triplicet and informed both teams until this matter was resolved both teams would forfeit and Bessenbruck would advance.
Well the lawyer took one look at the forms. Defecated on it in front of the officials and then removed his cowl. DARK WIZARD OF SLANEESH!!!! RUN!!!! to late. All three officals were caught up in tendrils of power and reduced to slime creatures. One looks like a toad, the other a small slug thing and the other for reasons unkown turned into a pit bull with horns and is now following the wizard out of the stadium as the throng of fans part like the red sea.
Yeah I dont think the sports enhancing drug policy has much "legs" after this incident. |

Streaking Halflings before kick off
Ok that is the last straw. Right before the kick off 12 naked flings went streaking across the field in support of fling rights in the capital. But their streak came to a abrunt end when a minatour charged out of the stands and stomped them into paste and ate them. After that temporary halt to the kick off, the fans yelled and cheered and the match is on!!!! |

After a shocking defeat to the Colourful Characters, hands down the team to win and advance towards the finals, an angry mob comprising every race under Nuffle's gaze gathered.
Their goal, the counting house. Their intent: to take out their frustrations on the "promised" win they had placed their hopes upon, responsible for the sudden loss of funds thought secure.
"I was only betting to make a little more for Christmas, there was no way I could actually afford to LOSE!" wails one distraught fan of the Colourful Characters.
The forecast for tonight is light rain and cloudy skies, with a heavy chance of violent retribution.
Hold the podium for me, I need to find that pitchfork...
This is Smart A. Lekk, signing out. |

Well the run came to an end in the semi - good effort from the team and don't really feel there was much more I could have done other than one mistake. Paid a heavy price for forgetting kick, but it was still a lot of rolls and on most days I would have gotten away with it. Second half looked promising until the temple guard dropped the blitz and then heavy cas followed which made it pretty impossible. Lost the temple guard, which tbh doesn't worry me. I have felt this tourney he slightly unbalanced my side and made inducements too steep. Still pleased with another top 8 finish. |

** Milford from the FC Finals **
Well the FC Finals are set to go on Monday. The stadium is getting set up over the weekend for the big climatic battle. It should be a great finals match.
Ninos de Tzeentch
VS
Chuck VS Blood Bowl
Ninos power their way into the finals and they are set up to seal the deal. They are still in post match so their TV is not set. They could dump some players for inducements or add more players. We will have to see at kickoff the lineup card to know what is up. BUT we do know they will be getting some inducement money so the wizard is probally a lock for the match. For the actual match they just need to keep doing what they are doing and get the CLPOMB up and running and then elf ball Chuck into the pitch with their legend ball handler. They cannot let this thing degenerate into strictly a CLPOMB fest and who ever comes out on top wins, I think they would lose that battle. Get some critical CAS on key players and then let the inducements kick in and ride that to the championship.
Chuck has all the pressure in this match. They cannot afford any slip ups in this one. That wizard is going to be huge and they need to guard for that. Obviously the main key for them is to get off to a fast start and get the CAS going early. They probally want to turn this into a CAS fest as they have better players at the end of their roster compared to Nino. They do have the money for wizard or babe/bribe so it will be interesting to see if they go all in and use that money in the finals match.
This is a real tough match to call because both teams are really even. Chuck has a small advantage but not huge. This is trully a one and done match so I suspect both teams will leave it all on the field in this one. The story line is the CLPOMB but I would not be shocked if this thing comes down to one team blowing a critical play at the wrong time. A blown pick up or some screwy double skull.
I think this one will go to OT but both teams will be seriously depeleted. Ninos will receive but not have enough in the tank to win it and Chuck will get the turnover in OT and walk it in for the win.
Chuck VS over Nino 3-2 in OT in a finals classic. |

** Milford from the FC **
Well I have just been informed that Coach Malmir was planning on sending his temple guard to the World Edge Super League in a 3 team transfer for an undisclosed amount of money. Although my sources say it was in the range of 6mil. GC.
Needless to say the demise of the Temple Guard has sent a ripple effect through the WESL. Not to mention some officals inside FUMBBL are disturbed that this allmost took place. Since it is against FUMBBL rules to allow transfers.
The hotdog vendor on the corner of 9th and swiss thinks the Temple Guards death was all a sham to begin with. He told me that lizards regen is alot slower and takes atleast 3 days. So he suspects that the guard will be up and about in a few days. Transfered to the WESL and Malmir will then have a new beach side mansion in Bretonia, of course paid for by un named sources to keep the money clean. This hot dog vendor is not your normal vendor let me assure you.
I will keep my eyes and ears open for any large purchases of sea side villas in Bretonia. |
