With the SD win in week 13, Femver is no longer able to win the division.
Femver would take the second wildcard spot should they win out combined with:
Pitt and SD losing in week 14
OR
Oakland losing out and a Pitt loss in week 14

Ok so with the Pitt week 7 win the AFC playoff picture is really coming into focus.

#1 New Angryland (80-87 pts)
#2 Cincinatti (70 points)
#3 Tennessee (63 points)
#4 Oakland or SD (51-58 pts)
#5 Indianapolis (55-62 pts) (tiebreaker over Pitt)
#6 Pittsburgh (55 pts)

Oakland and SD have the same record at this point and play a final head to head match in week 14. Since Oakland won the earlier match in the season they own the h2h tiebreaker, so Oakland can play for the tie while San Dogo must win. For both teams the only way into the playoffs is to win the division. Their wildcard hopes were closed out by Pittsburgh's week 14 win.

The NFC is still a little more open

#1/2 Green Ball (72-79 pts)
#1/2 NYG Leeches (69-76 pts)
#3/4 Seattle (57-64 pts)
#3/4 Carolina/Atlatl
#5 Minnesota (62-69 pts)
#6 Carolina/Atlatl/Philhala/Dallas/San Fran

#1 seed is Green Ball's to lose. If they win they take the #1 seed. With a loss/tie they open up the door for NYG Leeches to claim the #1 seed with a Win and GB tie/loss. GB owns the tiebreaker so a NYG tie/loss locks up the #1 seed for GB also

#3 Seattle controls the seeding. If they win they are the #3 seed, if not it all come down to Carolina's & Ataltl's week 14 games.

Carolina has locked up a playoff spot and can lock up the division with a week 14 win. With a tie they lock up a playoff spot. With a loss they open up the wildcard to multiple teams.

Atlatl can secure a playoff spot with a week 14 win. They take the division with a week 14 win and Carolina tie/loss. If Atlatl ties Carolina takes the division

NFC Wildcard
Carolina (55-62 pts) Loss/tie + Atlatl win (WC tiebreaker over Phil)
Atlatl (52-59 pts) win + Carolina win or Atlatl tie + Phil loss
Phil (48-55 pts) Win + Atlatl tie/loss (WC tiebreaker over Atl)
Dallas (47-54 pts)- Win + Atlatl loss + Phil tie/loss
San Fran (45-52) Win + Atlatl & Phil loss + Dallas tie/loss (WC tiebreaker over Atl)

Häagen-Bash™ Pre-Draft Sneak Peek Show

DARLING: Hello sport fans, this is Jackie "Oh my gosh, did she just really do THIS" Darling and I am here with a special sneak peek at this year’s NBFL draft class. I’m supported by Dirty Drew Dickson, former college star and famous for his… well… let’s say creative solutions regarding opposing assets. It’s nice to have you in our team, Drew.

DICKSON: Jackie, darling, I’m very happy to be here. NCBB, NBFL and the annual draft have become a huge marketing success for all involved parties, so it was only a matter of time until they would develop a show to cover the needs of those who have caught the fever.

DARLING: The fever for the upcoming draft. How right you are! I caught the fever myself.

DICKSON: And I have the right medicine for you, darling.

DARLING: You better keep it where it is, Drew. Let’s talk a bit more about the concept of this show.

DICKSON: And your wish is my command, Jackie. We were asked to lift the curtain – just a bit – so those, who can hardly wait for this year’s draft board to be released, get something to ease their pain.

DARLING: And this means, we will introduce to you some very special draftees, of whom we think they have either the biggest talent, have shown the right attitude or are in an outstanding state of training to make their way in NBFL. TATs™ is brought to you by our sponsor: Häagen-Bash™ – Pain is the path to joy!

DICKSON: Okay, let’s start with the Häagen-Bash™ Draftee-of-the-Year. This hot shot is rated with 5 diamonds in talent, 3 diamonds in attitude and an additional 4 diamonds in training.

DARLING: Even more astonishing, this draftee comes from a quite unknown program.

DICKSON: Not very known from a public perspective, but you better bet your beautiful head the decision makers from NBFL had an eye on this player at least since he made it into the Warpstone Dew™ All American Team from season XXI.

DARLING: Good point, Drew. So without any more words, here he is…

DICKSON: He was Runner for the Rolla Gold Diggers and therefore can be found under the Skilled section of the draft board.

DARLING: ... Anthony Mooredeath!!! He comes with double +Ag, Dodge, Sure Hands and Pass Block as well as 76 spp and therefore gets the following rating:

Code:

Talent:   ◊ ◊ ◊ ◊ ◊
Attitude: ◊ ◊ ◊
Training: ◊ ◊ ◊ ◊

DICKSON: Double +Ag is great for ANY team, dodge adds an additional argument to draft this player for most teams, even more for a position that hasn’t regular access to this skill. Sure Hands completes the picture of a well-trained player while Pass Block simply makes him something special.

DARLING: Some may have issues with drafting a player at 76 spp, as there isn’t much more potential to go for, but I tell you guys two things. First of all, most of his potential already got developed by the coaching staff of his alma mater! And as a second point, he will most likely be drafted into a position that will either free Dodge or Sure Hands, so he will drop to 51 spp. This should add some additional ways for this jewel’s development.

DICKSON: I was informed we have to do a little commercial break. Stay tuned for our next segment, where we lift the curtain a bit more…

A hot brunet with a cool blonde in a bar. A buff-looking Skaven with an extra arm is looking at her.
RATCOOL: Baby, you make me wish you had three breasts.
MARY: But I can.
She turns to the bartender pointing at the beer in her hand.
MARY: Two more Warpsteiner, Benny.
Next shot shows Mary and Ratcool sitting at a table, several emptied bottles of Warpsteiner in front of them. Then Mary opens her blouse and exposes three breasts.

VOICE FROM THE OFF: Warpsteiner Brewery’s TOTAL RATCOOL. Showing off this summer, in a cinema near you!

Häagen-Bash™ Pre-Draft Sneak Peek Show

DARLING: And we are back. You are watching the Häagen-Bash™ Pre-Draft Sneak Peek Show, my name is Jackie Darling and with me is Dirty Drew Dickson.

DICKSON: Hello fans of NBFL and NCBB all over the world… or at least where this show is broadcasted to. We already had a look at this year’s Häagen-Bash™ Draftee-of-the-Year, a highly talented player.

DARLING: But although an important factor, talent isn’t everything. Beyond that our analysts look at the right attitude and the state of training as well.

DICKSON: So, let’s have a look at a player that leads in the category attitude. Chris James of the now-defunct program of Gardner-Webb is a player that will fit in almost any team he is drafted to.

DARLING: Absolutely. He has the highly useful skillset of Dodge and Guard, which can only be achieved through doubles by most teams. Additionally he knows how to Block, which should keep him alive and in the NBFL for quite some time.

DICKSON: On the downside, he comes on board with 31 spp. This is a long way to his next skill, even more as he qualifies for Linemen duties only. Nevertheless, our analysists rated this draftee with 1 diamond in talent, 4 diamonds in attitude and 3 diamonds in training.

Code:

Talent:   ◊
Attitude: ◊ ◊ ◊ ◊
Training: ◊ ◊ ◊

DARLING: What do you think, when will this player be drafted, Drew?

DICKSON: Difficult question, darling. Personally, I can’t see him being drafted in the Top10, as he seriously lacks the talent for such an early pick. But maybe there’s a team in the Top10 that has no other needs to fill or is even looking for exactly this type of player.

DARLING: I politely have to disagree with you in this point. I definitely see him leave the board as one of the first ten draftees. A team picking that early definitely lacks the fundamentals needed to cope with the opposition, so this player is exactly what they have to go for.

DICKSON: Fair enough, Jackie. No need to agree in every single topic. Opposites attract, you know!?

DARLING: Drew, please. Let’s keep this thing professional, okay.

DICKSON: And professionality is a great bridge to our next draftee. College coaches usually spend a lot of time to teach their players the techniques and fundamentals to function on the green. From good coaches players also learn something about professionality.

DARLING: Our next draftee is from the Blitzer category. Jonathan Anderson, an athlete trained almost to perfection by TCU, joining his new club with the following skillset: Mighty Blow, Piling On, Tackle and the aforementioned Professionality.

DICKSON: Furthermore, with 70 spp he’s only 3 casualties away from his next skill.

DARLING: That could also be 2 touchdowns, Drew.

DICKSON: In theory only, darling, in theory only. In his 33 games for TCU, he only scored 3 touchdowns, but he injured 32 opponents. For a player with this skillset, casualties are the way to go to the next level.

DARLING: Okay, let’s see, what our analysts have to say about him.

Code:

Talent:   ◊
Attitude: ◊ ◊
Training: ◊ ◊ ◊ ◊ ◊

DARLING: Wow, only 1 diamond in talent, and 2 diamonds in attitude isn't much more. Last but not least, 5 diamonds in training is where this draftee shines. Overall, that doesn't look too bright.

DICKSON: It depends. As well as with our last draftee, it all comes down to the needs of the different NBFL teams. Imagine, you look for the killer type of a Blitzer, because in the last season, you lacked the power to dominate your opponents by pure force. That’s the time when you go with this draftee. No need to waste your time and money on a talented but raw guy, who might become good with the right amount of encouragement, if you can go with this one, already in perfect shape just for this one task.

DARLING: Or to quote myself from the beginning of this segement: “Talent isn’t everything”.

DICKSON: And sometimes, talent is nothing. Just remember Tyson "All-you" Alualu out of In-Sane Louie. At his time, he was called “Talent of the Century”, but he only lasted one season in the rough environment of NBFL.

DARLING: And that was our second segment of the Häagen-Bash™ Pre-Draft Sneak Peek Show. Join us, when we take another look at some carefully selected draftees from NBFL’s Season XVI draft board.
Until then, answer the call of nature, get a cool Coroner, ask your lady what her day was like, whatever... but stay tuned!

Häagen-Bash™ Pre-Draft Sneak Peek Show

DICKSON: And the secret was revealed. The official draft board has been released as well as a not-yet official draft order.

DARLING: Quite interesting, quite exciting. This year, not only have slackers been punished but also the good guys been rewarded with some boost to their draft position.

DICKSON: And as a player that has always uphold fairness, I highly second this.

DARLING: Wait, didn’t they call you Dirty Drew Dickson?

DICKSON: True, but that is another story. Anyhow, you’re watching the Häagen-Bash™ Pre-Draft Sneak Peek Show with the brutally beautiful Jackie Darling, and as you already know, I’m Dirty Drew Dickson.

DARLING: So, with the board revealed, what can we still sneak peek at, Drew?

DICKSON: You’re right, the board has been released. But we still have the ratings of our analysts. Let’s go on with publishing them. After all, we’re being paid for doing so.

DARLING: Fair enough. Our next diamond dog is a real big biter and comes out of Clemson University.

DICKSON: This draftee was a NCBB super star and was legitimately selected twice into the relaunched All American Team throughout his college career.

DARLING: Those of you who follow college blood bowl already might know who we are talking about. For all others: Da’Quan Biters!

DICKSON: This draftee brings all the tools you want to see on a player for his position: Block and +Str make him a real weapon of mass destruction, Guard supports his teammates while Break Tackle adds some mobility to a usually quite static type of player.

DARLING: You really seem to be a fan of this draftee, Drew. Let’s see, what our analysts have to say:

Code:

Talent: ◊ ◊ ◊
Attitude: ◊ ◊ ◊
Training: ◊ ◊ ◊ ◊

DARLING: That’s 3 diamonds in talent, 3 diamonds in attitude and 4 diamonds in training.

DICKSON: I feel responsible to add that our analysts have been divided by disagreement whether his talent should be rated with 3 or 4 as well as training vice versa. Maybe a 3.5 in both categories would have been a compromise.

DARLING: Nevertheless, this rating draws the picture of a very balanced player. As long as the team can support the position of a Big Guy, and doesn’t already have an outstanding one, this draftee should be a no-brainer.

DICKSON: Okay, enough said. Let’s move on to another draftee. The next NBFL prospect has put a lot of effort to make the final step in his career.

DARLING: As far as I know, C.J. Sssanderson had a personal coach, a mental coach and he even hired a public relations specialist. But it paid off. Last season he stood at 36 spp, which wasn’t enough to get him a contract with any NBFL teams.

DICKSON: But this season, he adds another 12 spp to the package for a total of 48. This means it’s just a tiny little step to the next skill.

DARLING: Too true, Drew. But let’s have a look at the skills already part of the package. C.J. comes with Wrestle, Side Step and Diving Tackle.

DICKSON: Even more interesting, this draftee qualifies for two player categories. This leads to some really exciting options. While C.J. is only a moderate Skilled player, he can become a very special addition to the Linemen squad.

DARLING: This also leads to separate ratings for this player taking into consideration both positions.

Skilled
Code:

Talent: ◊
Attitude: ◊
Training: ◊ ◊ ◊ ◊

Linemen
Code:

Talent: ◊
Attitude: ◊ ◊ ◊ ◊
Training: ◊ ◊ ◊

DICKSON: What I said. This draftee is nothing special to any team that considers him for their skilled squad. But he reveals his true value when using him as a lineman.

DARLING: That being said, what is your opinion about his chances this draft finding a team?

DICKSON: Good question, not easy to answer to. I think he was one of the biggest losers of last year’s draft. He brought some potential with him, but obviously it wasn’t enough. This year, with the extra spp and looking at the draft board as a whole, I will give my Senior Season’s Crimson Spurs if he isn’t a Top20 pick.

DARLING: That’s a word. And we have another word from our sponsors.

PETERSON: Hey. Adrian Peterson here, legendary Running Back for the Minnesota Wolfkings. You wanna know where my incredible speed comes from? Prior to any game, I do the Dew. The Warpstone Dew!

NBFL Season 16: Player Stats

With regular season in the books and playoffs upcoming, it is time to take a look at NBFL's top performers for this campaign.

Offense:

Quarterbacks:

1. Ryan Leaf
2. Devin "Odin" Harason

It was a tough battle, but in the end San Dogo's playmaker Ryan Leaf (11 completions for 79 passing yards, QB-Score of 101) was ahead by a nose over Philhala Arni's latest draftee Devin "Odin" Harason (19 completions, 61 passing yards, QB-Score of 99). As Ryan could be quoted: "That's proof to never underestimate experience over youth."
Worth the mention: Anthony "Poop Slinger" Mooredeath (Keggie City, QB-Score: 94) and Justin "Lucky Ducker" Zipp (Oakland, QB-Score: 88).

Running Backs:

1. Big Ben the 3rd
2. Woody "Pro Pot" Harrelson

Best Running Back this year was Pittsburgh's Big Ben the 3rd with 269 rushed yards and 11 touchdowns, runner up is Woody "Pro Pot" Harrelson out of the expansion team of the Malice Cowboys with 255 rushed yards and 7 touchdowns. Again, some players should be mentioned that barely missed an official nomination: Eriq Baird (Buffalo, 249 yards, 8 touchdowns) and Barry "Summerfest" Leegle (Cincinatti, 229 yards, 9 touchdowns).

Wide Receivers:

1. Tom Braaaaady
2. Michael Vick
3. Spike Evans

Among the Top3 scorers are two Bull Centaurs. Prime Bull Tom Braaaaady of the New Angryland Bulltrots scored 11 touchdowns, top rate in NBFL (together with Big Ben out of Pittsburgh). King Braaaaady’s crown princes are Pittsburgh’s Bull Centaur Michael Vick and Tampa Bowl’s star catcher Spike Evans, both with 10 touchdowns.

Defense:

Linebackers:

1. J. Anderson
2. Mike "The Strong Man" Pollak

A very special battle has been fought in the category of Season XVI Best Linebacker. While other categories are measured on the scoreboard, these two contenders found another area of competition: sky-high piles of dead (or at least injured) opponents. And it was regular season’s last week that forced a decision. Denvork Bronkork’s heavy hitter J. Anderson, 1st-year draftee out of TCU, collected another two casualties and went 1 cas ahead (total of 28), but Cincinatti had their last game still to play. But their opponent, Keggie City, ended the match after only 4 turns with The Strong Man still at 0 cas (total of 27). J. Anderson and Denvork won this battle, but that’s just the overture of a war still to come.
Honorable mentions for: Erric Rhett (Miami, 21 cas at 4.38 block/cas-ratio), Willy McKillest (New Angryland, 21 cas at 5.19 block/cas-ratio) and Charles Folger (Jacksonville, 20 cas at 5.40 block/cas-ratio).

Unsung Heroes at the Line:

1. Michael von Bargen III
2. L. Lundy
3. J. Slater
4. Ziggy Hood
5. Don Perkins

These players are characterized by great stamina and durability as they have to throw blocks, take hits and stay on their feet the whole game. No time to take a breath, it’s do or… well… die. The #1 and captain of the line is Michael von Bargen III out of Tennesse with 103 blocks and 224 turns on the green. Although not the brightest bulp he’s the centerpiece of the Titanz line since the beginning of the franchise.
Alongside this tower of strength, we find two players from another greenskin team: L. Lundy and J. Slater out of Denvork. Lundy had 98 blocks in 221 turns, Slater follows with 90 blocks in 218 turns. It should be mentioned, that both Black Orcs were drafted by the Bronkorks prior to this season and the immediate impact they had is proof to this new franchise’s scouting skills.
The line selection is completed by Ziggy Hood (Jacksonville, 70 blocks, 218 turns) and Don Perkins (Malice, 67 blocks, 213 turns).

Specialists:

1. Brian Coulter
2. Chumpette
3. Bowleg Warpedstones

Brian Coulter out of Tennesse booted himself to the top of this category… his 30 fouls are unchallenged all over NBFL and one foul every 2.2 turns is an open threat to any opposing star. Sadly there’s no data collected how many of these fouls lead to injuries or even deaths. Following Coulter are Chumpette (Indianapolis) and Bowleg Warpedstones (Miami) both with 24 fouls.
Finally one more player should be mentioned in this category: The Zoltan only did 20 fouls which doesn’t qualify him a top spot in this list. But he did that in 36 turns meaning it only took him an average of 1.8 turns to make an opponent kiss his boot! Sadly he’s dead now, killed in a bar brawl after another short-timed appearance for the New Angryland Bulltrots.

Yeah, I was thinking the same... well... just for rats of course. It seems like lower AV leads to higher team buildung efforts. Or as they say: "There's no 'I' in 'Lot's of CAS'!" Wink
