Eh, I think you identified the issue, spitefulness, and luckily for you, you don't have to offer your opponent any more games, ever.
Based on the rapport you have with the other coach, some of that is cheeky fun, but other times its just transparently spiteful. |

I should indicate no feeling of malice to my opponent. I am sure I do things in games that others don't like (e.g. stall or something), so it's not for me to decide what's right or wrong. I just want to gauge what to expect. |

It is indeed spitefulness.
The trick is to never shut your opponent out. Always give them a remote chance. People usually only foul like this when they think the game is truly lost. |

Ah, sir, we have issues using the word etiquette in relation to fouling. |

The only thing he did wrong was not fouling earlier. |

good fouling etiquette is 16 fouls per game(and team, mind you). a rare treat tho. (unless carlo is playing. or rabe hunting badges) |

Do you play CPOMB 'cause you can't win otherwise?
No, that's a rhetorical question. |

Its up to you. If you wouldn't like someone doing it to you don't do it to opponents. However if someone wants to foul you in t16 thats their call and nothing to be upset about. Some people just enjoy watching players go splat. Not my cuppa tea mind. |

I think there are 2 Tilts in this game:
Tilt 1: You have positioned in such a way that your opponent has only the slimmest of chances of stopping a score or gaining a score before the end of the half. Your opponent is on tilt and will do almost anything to prevent the score or make the score, damn the odds.
Tilt 2: You have so thoroughly won the game that there is no attainable objective left for the other coach. So they waste time during turns, they throw passes for SPP, they foul your best players, they pile on every player, etc etc. |

One thing to remember is that to save a star player from getting hurt while you are being thrashed is to have them sent off. They leave the game injury free |

And what about the blitzing etiquette?
Seriously, it's just a game mechanism, we're not talking about important stuff like eating cheese in France. |

Fouling Etiquette is always recommended. Especially if Etiquette has earned a skill. |

Wont say I've never done the same, but it is indeed a douchy move to start fouling late for no reason but damage. |
