What would you guys think of allowing teams with compatible player types to be able to trade them for gold, just like real athletes?
It could be handled the same way as when you buy other players, only from other teams' rosters (obviously the other coach must agree...)
Just a thought... |

I do not understand one thing, but maybe it's me:
Why drop a good idea just because some bad players or coaches could have an advantage using it in a twisted way? I mean, if something can make my BB experience better, I do not care that much if somebody else uses it to build up his team against the rules.
This applies to trading players, to oringinal rosters saved so that you will not need to create a new team anymore if the first has to be retired, and so on.
Who cares about cheaters! Why should they prevent me from making my fun even funnier? |

Stunties, Div[X] and so on do NOT follow the LRB. Still, IMHO they are a very valuable addition to any fumbbler's experience... |

PLayer trades has been brought up over and over since fumbbl began, i for one like the idea, but .......... Ranked sticks pretty close to the lrb, and DX is pretty much for testing ideas that Fanatic have kicked around, |

Wouldn't work... tried to suggest it myself a few months ago, but got a good list of reasons why not. Search for the older threads... |

I've been thinking about quite a few ways the cheating factor could be lessened alot, if not totally. It would still need a division of it's own of course, trades couldn't be implemented in Ranked or Unranked. What I'm thinking of is a new division, rules would be LRB + the trades (and possibly some other league type rules later). This new div would be unranked, surely.
Have to talk to Christer about this one of these days, maybe I could get him convinced... |

Why cant people just train up there own players though? not a bad idea admittedly but seems just a lazy way out. And some teams who RARELY spend money and have lots spare, dwarves etc. could get even more advantages?
And alot of work to add a new division just for trading? |

good one, veron. i like the idea of tradin players as well. it worked rather fine in OLBBL, but still there was some abuse of course. in such a big league/conference like FUMBBL (R) or other it wouldn't be overseeable IMO.
If someone starts a (R) trading FA league, I'd sure as hell sign up. |

the only way to avoid "cheat" for this kind of thing is auction...
but what s the point? the best will be the one with the more money?
really... don t see the point |
