I hate to break with convention like this, but I must make something clear to you. This site (FUMBBL) is dead. Nothing happens on its forums, because people like you have decided that all fun must be eliminated. When did anyone last see Meech? Or Macavity? Or even know who they are?
What does your nick mean? You live in "New" Mexico? licker? Does that mean your life is licking blocks of salt, waiting for Mexico to reverse the results of the Veracruz War and hoping to survive?
When I say "don't make me go Gurren Lagaan", you had better understand what that means. You cannot accept the addition of the "Underworld" roster to the game (a great victory over which the mighty Galak presided) and then continue to diss the underground.
I have made posts in this thread (*my* thread!) which may get me banned, just because some trolling moron wants to shut down an old-school BB player who is enjoying himself, and prays on his knees until someone bribes Christer enough that he does it. It really doesn't matter. I will have fun on another site, and real Blood Bowl coaches like pythrr will shrug, and wonder where the true irreligious trolls went.  |

What are you talking about? I consider "What should I choose as a 2nd skill for my +AG Zombie" enough to keep the forums flourishing for decades to come. |

If I ever need a confidence booster I will have to smoke some of what Pac is having.
Pac, it is fair enough that you want to put out some roster ideas out but you will have to accept some criticism when you paint yourself as the Godfather of the BB revolution or some such bluster.
There is some interesting ideas but as HM mentions having Witch Elves combined with other "good" Elves seems a bit off. Also there is a lot of positionals despite the lack of big guys for the teams listed so far.
I don't see why you say Sea Elves are not that good at Blood Bowl but then give them the same stats as Pro Elves. They have ag4 so are good at BB..
Nor is it clear why you would insult someone because they play Tabletop.
Also move 9 s3 is a very powerful player. To then consider lengthening the pitch would ruin slow teams. Also as mentioned the claw player is too much for that team. If you are going to ignore all suggestions then you may as well just post your whole ruleset in one go.
3rd edition was a fun game at the time but the LRBs definitely have some improvements. If you take on board suggestions maybe you can improve some roster or part of the rules. Saying the site is dead isn't exactly going to invite positive suggestions. |

Tbh pac, I have to agree with you - the forums on here seem pretty barren compared to how they used to be. Gone are the hilariously random accusations of Spiro, or the drunken ramblings of StudmanDudebro ..
Maybe I should just get drunk myself and post some crap, rather than relying on someone else to do it? |

It's dead? Then leave it be. Seriously, what the hell is your problem exactly? FUMBBL doesn't need yet another 'I know more than everyone so everyone should adopt my rule changes' guy. And yes, I know who those guys are, I've even played them (at least Macavity), but again, so what? FUMBBL isn't your personal playground to do what you want with, you want to present your ideas? Not your thread. Don't know why it would get you banned, unless you persist in whining about how everyone is persecuting you.
Take my advice, just present your ideas without any bogus preamble about how great you are and how much more you know than everyone. Then sit back as some people will disagree with them and some people agree with them.
But here's the main thing. There is no indication that Christer, or anyone else with any kind of actual input/control over how FUMBBL is run, is interested in blowing up everything to run with any kind of modified rule sets. At least not for R or B. L already offers some customization ability, and more is on the way.
Why not just say you want to test your design there? Why come in all high and mighty and demand that FUMBBL change to fit your whims? Really, no one cares about your whims. |

OK 1. I am glad more people are coming up with their rule sets. I think it is high time we make a wiki somewhere and have a "FUMBBL" endorsed rule set, Why?
The rules are not adapting.
We want a fun Blood Bowl.
Cyanide, GW, everyone else will copy off this site for ideas like the Brittonian team layout (IMHO, definitely not the best team layout on this site, probably one of the weakest.).
We play enough games here to get a fun Blood bowl.
People can then create their own rules/rosters if they see fit. However fumbblers can vote on their official ruleset (or maybe vote for say 5 people to come up with a cool ruleset).
If we don't do this BB will be forgotten and we will see a 15 year old ruleset on this site. |

The Bretonnian team roster was not taken from this site. It is Plasmoids creation taken from his Narrow Tier Blood Bowl League as are some of the other changes Cyanide made to Blood Bowl 2.
FUMBBL doesn't have a Bretonnian roster unless you mean the one from Secret League. Which is just a resource made available for when Custom Rosters become available. At that point anyone will be able to make a team however they want, for League play only.
And as most people are already aware GW have relaunched Specialist Games and are releasing Blood Bowl as their first release. Not sure if they will be changing any rules or if they will take Cyanides lead? |

While I wouldn't be against this, there are a number of reasons why I don't think it will ever happen.
FUMBBL uses the Official Blood Bowl rules. This is a standard that all versions of the game adhere to. If someone joins the site they know what to expect, because the rules of the game are the same. If you start having different rules versions then it gets confusing and people can become disinterested.
Secondly, it would be very hard to get a concensus on most things. People rarely agree about what is 'wrong' with the current rules. I doubt any new ruleset would garner more votes than CRP.
That's not to say people shouldn't try producing their own. I did. It's fun! I included a bbcode roster template for people to use if they wanted to have a go |

Hello pac, this thread seems awesome. Not sure you are trolling or not, but nevermind that.
As for your rosters: I don`t think it seems a good idea to give the elf team (Sea Elves) claw and strenght-access. Also witch elf, a Wardancer and a st3 ma9-player(!). Compared to the other rosters you have posted it seems way better. Is this a design decision? Are we allowed to point it out in "your" thread |

I'll make a longer reply later, but I'm a bit uncomfortable with the now and then cultures clashing.
The Secret League Roster is Plasmoid's roster..........before it became too ridiculous. As I remember using even this roster was a major contentious point in me pulling out. |

Well I for one I am glad we have a saviour to come with a magical apothecary of a ruleset to revive this dead site. Its been a real chore grinding out 1368 games in 4 years, I think of all the fluffy leagues I've joined, the Stunty Leeg madness and the Blackbox carnage I've had to put up with but it will be worth all the pain soon. |
