I've been taken by the TT tournament bug recently and it got me to thinking...would it be good to have a FUMBBL TT tournament?
I have some ideas, however, before I go forth and look at it as a reality, I want to gauge people's (genuine) interest.
So I did a poll.
It would be held in the UK near Nottingham.
Let me know your thoughts and do the poll thing.

I'd be interested, but I fear Fumbbl's user base is too widespread to make it a reality. |

While I might potentially participate in a table top thing...more to meet other FUMBBLers than anything else truly, I would have about a max 8 hour drive radius that I'd consider. I wish all the fun for those that can make it to the event though. |

For what it's worth, I would and I continue to encourage my closest friends on FUMBBL to Tabletop Tournaments. The main trouble is logistics. For folks in the UK and other European countries it might be easier, but for North America - we're too darned spread out. I'm going to Michigan for a tournament the first weekend of November (Underworld Cup - hosted by flyingdingle) and while it's only a 4-5 hour drive, I still plan that out practically a year ahead of time.
I was just handed the reigns of the US NAF Major, The Chaos Cup... and while I am taking it over the same year as the World Cup in Dornbirn and expect a slight dip in attendance, I do hope to lure more folks that had only played Online (FUMBBL or BB2). I agree that there should be - and we're already seeing - more and more crossover from online to TT. There is plenty of fun to be had in both. |

I say we consider EVERY TT Blood Bowl tournament to be a potential FUMBBL event! There's a tournament (Keystone Kup) in central PA, USA in three weeks. It's suppose to have beer, Blood Bowl, and hopefully ME! (What more could one ask for?) And I'm trying in the early stages of trying to get NAF sanctioning for a tournament in Western MD, USA in early June. (Partially fried chicken zombie on the field might be an issue. Yes, of COURSE there are halflings involved.) |

He organizes the Rocky Mountain Rampage every year, as well as a few other tournaments for the folks "of the West". You can probably get a message to him through the NAF site. |

I would have to get dressed... it's so much easier to play BB naked. |

dress code for BB RL Tournament:
Black Jeans/Tan Chinos with too many pockets.
Dark T shirt featuring some vague game/blood bowl/fantasy image (not minecraft)
Consider trimming beard, decide not to.
It's not demanding.
I'd probably come. |

The NAF site has a couple tournament (/) lists. It looks like CO has The Stuffing Bowl coming up on 17 Nov in Denver. It seems like a lot of the tournaments get posted as events in Facebook, and folks cross-post events to get the word out.
But on the topic of a FUMBBL TT tournament... I'd be thrilled to meet FUMBBL folks at any tournament, but see any TT tournament as an excuse to meet other TT folks as well. |

I suspect that many coaches don't get any further than putting on a dressing gown. And that is only during winter months. |
