Strong Arm: +1 to Short, Long and Long Bombs.
Extra Arms: +1 to catch and pickup rolls. |

Strong arm is only really occasionally taken on big guys wanting to do TTM throws. Rarely on other throwers. Extra arms can be useful on mutation players if you don't get the +ag but want it. |

Strong arm rarely taken on other throwers? Not in my book.
If you want a decent thrower, whatever the race, and you're lucky to throw a double on the skill roll --> take strong arm. Of course you'll need accurate too. The beauty is that they work well together.
Ohwatch, you've played over 5000 games on Fumbbl and you don't know the difference between strong arm and extra arms? |

in the new rules you can only have strong arm if you have the throw team mate trait, so normal ball throwers wont be able to take it anymore.
xtra arms gives you +1 to pick up/ catch / int rolls.
completely 2 dif things. |

No, but ball throwers can take Cannoneer instead: +1 to Long pass and Long Bomb. |

Cannoneer is just the other half of Accurate. There's no more +2 skill bonus on short/long/bomb passes. |

Strong Arm directly says "This player may apply a +1 modifier to any Passing Ability test rolls they
make when performing a Throw Team-mate action."
So it completely doesn't work ever for regular passes. |

You are providing some of the rare cases
Not that many who take strong arm on top of accurate. Really means you are passing a lot. But I can understand long bombs at 3+ or whatever being tempting, and tough for the opposition to stop. |

Strong arm is when you've played on your own for too long. Extra arms is when you get other people involved |

I feel that IF you decide to take a thrower, then better build him properly --> accurate, strong arm (need a double here), and even safe throw. Perhaps sure hands as well, although that doesn't improve passing. No half measures, I'd say.
Of course, that is all BB2016, which will soon be dead anyway. |
