Anyone got a good solution for showing skills on tabletop?

There's small rubber bands of different colours, but need to remember what colour they are
http://impactminiatures.com/index.php?option=skillrings_profile&id=RR_RBM8

There's hard plastic or acrylic ones with printed names
https://www.counterattackbases.co.uk/item/suitable-for-blood-bowl-skill-rings
But they're sold in packs so for every 1x Block ring, you buy 12 which includes 1x Kick, 1x Fend, etc Sad

There's 3d printed base-bases, which is like a base for your base so you can base while you base.. these seem a bit fiddly
https://www.magicworksgames.com/shop/category/20824439
https://cults3d.com/en/3d-model/game/blood-bowl-skills-ring-v2
https://www.comixininos.com/productos-destacados/complete-set-of-59-puzzle-skills-for-32-mm-gw-bases-multicolor-comixininos.html
They sort of clip on to the mini's base and then include little clip on bits which mark the skills
They also can have the problem of sold in sets which include 1x of each skill

None of these seem much good
Any suggestions?

How about 3d printing an additional base to go under the original player base. Stack it like checkers. Print it to say what you want and print it in the color you want.

That would get rid of the issue of clipping them together.

I actually prefer the willy miniatures ones...much easier to use than the skill rings in my epxerience.

The Charlie Victor ones are expensive (£2 each!) but are lovely and work well. Silicon bands with skill names (or comboso) embossed and printed on them.

But as you say, pretty expensive

I like loom bands something like this
https://www.amazon.com/Mega-Original-Rainbow-Mixed-Bands/dp/B00GT0EZ8I/ref=sr_1_49?crid=2IWQ910RLBZOK&keywords=rainbow+loom+bands&qid=1655478276&sprefix=rainbow+loom+bands%2Caps%2C67&sr=8-49

English speaker here so this works for me:
I like Blue for Block, White for Wrestle, Green for Guard, Yellow for Dodge, and Red for killy skills, Purple/orange/pink for other.

This manufacturer is a friend and he has said he could create a listing for BB useful mix of colors

How about something simple but not so pretty? Colored elastic bands with skills written with a marker?

I think it's not so hard to remember the colours if you take a colour that shares the first letter of the skill:

Blue = Block
Green = Guard
Turquoise = Tackle
White = Wrestle
Mmm...red = Mighty Blow (ok that one doesn't work but I think you can still connect MB and blood red right?)

And those should be 95% of the skills for standard NAF tourneys. Of course for league play with big fat teams it might have its limitations.

(Edit: Okay in fairness I forgot Dodge, which is yellow, which I couldn't think of off the top of my hat so...)^^

I'm a fan of the small elastic loom bands. I own a couple different sets of plastic rings which fit around the bases, but I have eight different teams painted and there's absolutely no standardization on their bases. (My skaven gutter runners #3 and #4 are old warhammer fantasy figures and are on square bases even!) That means the loom bands were ideal.

I should mention though, early on... when I couldn't find a set for Khemri for love nor money, I played a full season in the local league with substitutions -- I'd alter the colors on the bands of the substitution characters for their new skills. Green for guard, Black for Block, Red for Danger (Tackle in this case), Gold for +AG, purple for my throw-ras. When a player gained a skill before I'd have a chance to alter the colors, I'd still add the skill with a loom band. If the local league hadn't self destructed at the beginning of Covid, I might be tempted again to alter the paint on the base as my players gained skills.

Yes, they're ugly. But I still say it's pretty easy to tell which each is meant to represent.
Yes, I've since acquired a real Khemri team. No, they're not even assembled yet. Laughing
