I know this is nothing earth-shattering, but for the lazy and math challenged among you, I give you a numerical comparison of Claw, RSC, and Claw/RSC:

AV Claw RSC Claw/RSC
6 34.72 42.21 60.18
7 30.09 30.94 52.16
8 24.31 20.62 42.13
9 17.36 12.04 30.09
10 11.58 6.01 20.06

Those are the % chances of a KO or better after a knock down with the appropriate physical mutation(s). If you want to know chance of stun or casualty, learn and apply some basic math.

FOR THE SUPER LAZY: If you have to choose one, choose CLAW unless all you play against is AV7 or worse players.

I'm sure someone else has posted this and more elsewhere. Good for them. I'll sure someone will link it.

Choose Claw, thats good advice.

But some players only earn SPP by making casualties. Then Razor sharpies would be preferable

Gotta Get through the Armour First. I don't think i have any played i have given RSC, only Claw, because i feel it's not worth it. I'd rather get more chance at getting past thier armour as it means I'm going to be more likely at stunning or KOing them, which means i have less players to contend with for my scoring players, which can mean more success, and more spps for other players.

More than this: if you SI or RIP the opposing player, Apo will be used and the player stays on the pitch. If you Claw him into BH, then the player will leave the field for sure.

Claw is the man's choice. RSC is just for ppl with bad attitudes AND bad tactic skills.

...unless you play stunty, of course... Twisted Evil

I did some calculations and got the following numbers for the probability of getting a KO or better result with Mighty Blow (assuming no Thick Skull or Stunty):

AV6: 39.81%
AV7: 31.25%
AV8: 21.99%
AV9: 14.35%
Av10: 8.33%

This leads to the perhaps surprising conclusion that MB is better than RSC for most AVs.

Anyone care to double-check my results?

The probability distribution between BH, SI and RIP is completely unaffected by the choice of Claw/RSC, since the dice roll to decide between them doesn't suffer any modifiers. Your observation is misleading in that respect.

Okay, I went one step further and decided to calculate the probabilities involved with causing casulaties with MB/Claw/RSC. Here are the numbers I calculated:

P(Cas. with Claw):
AV6: 13.89%
AV7: 12.04%
AV8: 9.72%
AV9: 6.94%
AV10: 4.63%

P(Cas. with RSC):
AV6: 24.31%
AV7: 17.36%
AV8: 11.57%
AV9: 6.94%
AV10: 3.47%

P(Cas. with MB):

AV6: 18.52%
AV7: 14.35%
AV8: 10.03%
AV9: 6.48%
AV10: 3.70%

The conclusions are clear:

- RSC is better than Claw at causing casualties against victims with AV 8 or less, and better than MB against victims with AV 9 or less.

- MB is better at causing casulaties than Claw against victims with AV 8 or less.

So if you're in it purely for the SPPs and/or gore, take RSC and don't play Orcs, Dwarves or anything else with lots of AV9 players.

I always forget the "think, then post" thing... Shame on me. Very Happy

I never wanted to calculate but how effectives are MB/RSC and Claw/MB.

I tend to prefer sparing the second double for foul appearance and so....
