While I respectfully disagree as to whether four mummies and a bunch of skeletons for backup is worse than 8 Ogres who can use RRs with faster, mobile but weaker goblins, that's really not my biggest complaint about the Ogre team.

What I really dislike about it is the lack of flexibility - either play tough with a maxed out team or play fluffy with nothing but 8 ogres - and the fact that it overrides the Goblin team. It is equal to or betther than everything about goblins are except for fun. That's just lame team design in my book. With no G access, you have even less options to progress an ogre team now. They're all going to look pretty much identical at equivalent TRs, barring wildly fortunate or unfortunate skill and aging rolls.

Also, I'm actually glad that aging stays. Something needs to keep all those teams under control.

Ogre team with no Block or Tackle or Sure Hands isn't very threatening, IMO.

Won't they still have G access though, since Ogres on Ogre teams aren't "Big Guys"?

no gen access on the ogres.

And I agree with MrMojo that it does appear that Ogres are better version of the gobbo team.

I think their supporting members should be ST1....ie not gobbos....maybe call them gnoblars from the upcoming Ogre kingdoms army... I know bloodbowl fluff isn't based on warhammer anymore...but it's something to go on.

ah boo! i wanted rid of ageing... the most unfun part about developing players... TV and the league cap is a better and more fun way of doing that...

league cap is just as worse imho. high av teams just continue to build.....
As for TV, TR works just fine. When a player takes up 30+ TR and he's only as effectiva as 20TR then u got some decisions to make.
Ageing is manageable. Only sucks when u roll it one of your first 3 skills.

Really? Where did you get that information from?

I'll never play Blood Bowl again if "ageing" remains a part of the game.
I'll sell all my stuff on eBay then.

Any plans on doing something with the leader skill? It's even less worth a double (well on table top) now.

Do the big guys become cheaper without general skill access, especially the ag2 rat ogre?

Everything is ok I think, except for Pro....they gotta make up their damned minds. It's better as a trait...otherwise you're gonna have a LOT of Pro players running around.

And Rat Ogres should be 10 or 20k cheaper now.

Pro = skill because bigguys can't take general anymore. It is that simple, pro is not an especially good skill for normal players.

@Korso
most of those changes are in line with the vault, you know....

and yeah, it's a pity ageing stays.
