I was wondering if anyone else out there has superstitions they follow on the blood bowl field.
I recently played a tabletop game where i named my two trolls "Brainiac" and "Genius", intending them to be completely sarcastic names. To my surprise i found that in the three games i have played with them since i have only failed a single really stupid roll.
This prompted me to think of some other examples of gaming superstitions. Any 40k players out there know that you always refer to it as a rocket launcher not a MISSile launcher. One of my gaming friends, who is right handed, always rolls the dice with his left hand if he is in a critical situation and needs to make an unlikely roll. Crazy, i know. It's just that it always seems to work for him.
Does anyone else dodge the proverbial black cat on the field? |

well, actually when I play tabletop BB I count the steps of a player who has to dodge first step as dodge, two, three instead of dodge, ONE, two three . I play elves by the way |

One of my friends has a lucky hat , its a green fishing hat and refereed to simply as "The Hat" Its brought out only in the most desperate of situations but is nearly impossible to stop when its powers are called upon |

I don't know if this counts but I always make a team logo, the 2 minutes of my life I've wasted doing this generally helps convince me to persevere with teams rather than give up on them when they run into a bad patch and take a lot of injuries. Mind you, that might be partly why my coach rating sucks.. |

I used to have a time my luck was heavily dependent of the fact that a Pink Floyd cd (Meddle) was playing.
I had a realy lucky streak back then for 30-40 games while listenig to that cd. The moment my luck went down in a game, it was cos the cd had ended. When i pressed play, my luck went up again and i won the game. Happened several times i swear !
My luck seems far more stable now, I can actually win without Pink Floyd.
Altough I still change music when things are going realy bad, and hope i can influence the dice that way. Doesn't seem to be working that good anymore for some reason, but worth the try |

My favorite tactic is to open the way to the end line by killing the other team.
Mayhem, Marduk or some other brutal black metal band plays at the cd player.
I also use logos and pics for my teams related to those bands.
boneraven you must add a bio to your teams. Otherwise others can't see your team logos. |
